World Record

Post by BobbyDobbs »

I am submitting my wife (Stephanie Dobbs) to the Guiness Book of World Records as the claimant for "Most Professional Boxing Matches, Woman".

But, before I do so, I want to make sure that I am right. Can someone here verify that fact for me?

Thanks

John is in Germany and cannot reboot the server. I'm not sure if anyone has direct access to the live server to extract the stats.

You are really something!

Do you think people like it when you hijack every single thread about any topic to beg for ring announcer work?

I have used you in the past and do not need to be hounded by you on the phone or on here to know that you are available. Believe me, we all get it!

Now I am going to be honest with you since you decided to be such a jerk. The reason I don't use you more is because you are not ready for prime time.

You make a lot of mistakes and have not done your homework and studied the craft enough that I can feel comfortable with you.

You have a good voice and no fear of the crowd. But, you screw up reading decisions and announcing the fighters. I was going to wait until you improved and then planned on using you more once you became more competent.

I can assure you that I will get in there and do it myself now rather than ever hire you again!

So now that that is settled you do not need to email me, call me or reply to every single schedule thread I post on boxrec.

Good luck! And Good bye!

Its an unfortunate human trait for people in business to just not return your call or answer the phone and tell you what's up. You're supposed to take it as a NO and move on... but there's always that chance they didn't get the message or whatever...

well my thing is if he had a problem with something i am doing how am i gonna know if he doesn't take the time to tell me

if i was messing up all he had to do was tell me and i would have worked on correcting it but he chose to ignore me

his shows were the only shows that required me to announce the score when it goes to the judges

So yes i will gladly admit i made some mistake but how am i suppose to get better unless someone is willing to help me

and i apologize to Bobby for having to result to being a jerk to get a reply from him

But like i said the only way i can get better is if people are willing to point out what i am doing wrong

getting work and getting more experience and having friends point out if im doing something wrong is the only way im gonna grow to be the best at what i do

I am sure you are aware that you have not mastered this yet. You are too pushy and I know of no other ring announer that goes about finding jobs like you do. It is truly annoying. You know I have your number and you know I know you are available. So what is the reason for the full court press? You call, you email, you send messages on myspace...PMs.

Ring announcers are situated almost at the bottom of my list of priorities.

no Bobby unfortunatly im not a mind reader so i do not know if you know if im available or not

I have several promotions i announce for and i try to fill every date i have open

If i had it my way i would be announcing a fight every night of the week and the only way i know for sure to let promoters and match makers know im interested or available is to try to keep in contact with them

Now if that is being pushy then i'm sorry but i'm trying to make a living just like everyone else

i am only trying to become the best dam ring announcer there is and unless i keep pounding the flesh trying to get as much work as possible i will never achieve that

just like a gym rat that spends every hour of everyday in the gym training to become the best
