Andy Ayling's letters in Boxing News

Post by m1kee50 »

The first one made him look a bit unproffessional, I was convinced it was our own boxingchat writing it. Someone obviously dictated the second one for him.....

Yeah think you're not wrong there - I missed the first letter, was it that bad?

Because the reverse gear 2nd letter had obviously come about after an arse kicking from the boss!!

The first scribble wreaked of unprofessionalism but the second, i have not yet read so cannot really comment. Hennessy's reply in between was decent though.

I don't have it to hand, but it was basically a long torrent of personal criticisms at the man who had made the original complaint.

My comments are in brackets.

1. Why would a boxing fan care what type of beer they sold?
2. There are lots of bars at the Excel. (wrong- as it happens- once you entered, they were out of bounds.)
3. You must be lying because no-one else complained.
4. There were 500 security staff. (But how many STEWARDS?)
5. There was one minor incident in the cheap seats, that was dealt with quickly. (I was sitting near there, and the guy was causing trouble for at least an hour.)
6. How could YOU possibly know that a boxer was told he was on in five minutes?
7. Long gaps between fights are an unfortanute and uncontrollable feature of boxing.

The whole gist of My Ayling's letter was that it was a brilliant, well run show, and as such anyone who complained must be a liar who probably wasn't even there.

Spud, you are a really irritataing pudendum. Why aren't you in Miami, Dennis carrying his own bag this time. I hear the tarts that Paul King beat up got a slap because they didn't go down as quick as you did, is that right?

I find it appalling you can mock Kings victims - and I do not mean him having a pop at me either - you really are a vile individual who knows no bounds do you!!

Getting rather silly now isn't it!!

Off for another holiday until the mods do something about this pathetic sh*t!!!

Banter taken a step too far - by the way Meaty Mick spells his name Hennessy and not the way you spell it - I hope the mods look at the IP addresses - perhaps your job has taken you somewhere today where you feel confident enough to play these games.

Anyhow - bye bye until the mods do something about you.

Dunno why his letters cause such a fuss. In my book it is called right of reply.

Its because he came across as cocky, arrogant and couldn't care less about a customer's complaint. The original letter claimed that an event had been poorly run (with good justification,) his reply was basically calling the guy a liar.

The thing was, there WERE problems with that show- the original letter was pretty accurate regarding people taking others seats, poor drinks service, etc.

Most of you are being damn childish chucking insults at each other from the saftey of your PC's
I have no interest in this nonsense and certainly don't come on here to partake in it.
If you boys have a problem with each other, why don't you just meet up face to face and have it off in the boxing ring.
If you are not brave enough to do this just stick to topical debate and do not bog the rest of us down personality differences
