There was a bit of trouble, nothing major. However, given that one lad was injured is one too many

I'm sure a letter in boxing news will claim that there wasn't any crowd trouble, and anyone who claims there was is a liar who probably wasn't even at the show.

they would have been there to follow Chelmsley Wood's hot prospect Thomas Costello.

That is IF it was them causing the trouble, mind.

Jonp were you there? - any insight on what went on?

Yes i was there and the brummie lads watched one scrap in the beer tent nothing to do with them. Also a lot of the birmingham crowd went after Tom boxed and he was on at 6.

I saw some northern lads scrapping with some of Amirs fans by the toilets but there were no 50 men brawls anywhere?

Fair play Jon for clearing that up.

Sounds like another case of 'if in doubt, blame the brummies' :o :-?

There's been trouble of varying degrees at every one of Khan's fights.
Worst was at Bolton the same night Jennings fought Vincent.
Think it was Khan's debut.
Maybe a coincidence but I can't see Michael's fans gelling with Khan's fans.
That said, if memory serves me right, Khan's opponents supporters got the blame that time.

I just don't like alot of Khan's fans, again like alot of fans the minority spoil it for the majority, they are not boxing fans and they only show up to see Khan fight. The abuse chucked at Willie Limond was unbelieveable, so racist (if you clal shouting at Willie calling him a Scottish pudendum, get the feck back to your own country and Scottish twat as racist) and not needed at boxing espically since Willie was giving his all and giving Khan the biggest test of his career.

I think I've probably seen 5 - 7 of Khans fights live and its been steadily getting worse. In fact both myself and Emerson said at Woods vs. Johnson 3 that the way some groups of Khans supporters were acting is a fight waiting to happen.

Booing the ref for giving Khan a talking to for hitting someone on his knees sums the minority of them up entirely.

It looks like there was more than one casulty, the News Of The World had images of a fella being carted off on a stretcher with an oxgyen mask over his face.

Had Khan been in the States fighting a household name - he'd have been thrown out for those transgressions, good job uncle Mickey was on hand.

Must have been more entertaining than Khan's fight. ITV should have charged extra to cover the crowd trouble.

Why not full is it due to tickets being over priced or people realising that fight was not a good match.
