to hell with this, i'm boycotting mundine

Post by adamheight »

if mundine ignores the wba mandatory challengers and fights a 14th ranked contender (sam sol) then he can kiss my arse.

wtf is it with this guy? acts like hes floyd mayweather but keeps looking for excuses NOT to step up.

as much as i liked d.green, i was elated when he retired...now its one less excuse for mundine. hes gotta step up NOW!

I havent heard anything new today, but I believe the Soliman fight will go ahead and then the WBA will order Choc to fight Kesler or be stripped of the belt. It is the only thing Choc has is his belt so I dont think he has a choice but to defend it. Kessler has no problems coming to Australia to fight for it so there are no excuses....

Whoever considered Choc a serious boxer needed a MRI yonks ago :P
It was quite evident years ago what the game plan was...MONEY....and Aussies fell for it.
He's certainly made heaps out of DEMENTED Aussies

The only people that made money from me in the early days of Choc were the publicans feeding me beer :TU:

It would not surprise me at all to see him dodge Kessler (prob this whole move to MW thing).

I know it won't happen but I want Choc's next opponent, prob an Argentinian with a 26-19 (3) record who fought for a world title (prob the WBF  ) six years ago but has gone 1-9 with 7ko losses since and hasn't fought for 32months, knock Choc out cold ala Ottke. That would be nice to see. And teach him a lesson.

whats holding choc back is the fear - he's still got post traumatic stress disorder from getting ko'd by a man notorious for not being able to kayo people. ottke has a 17% ko record for petes sake.

hes never gonna dominate a division because he isnt hungry enough to dominate it. the guy calls cathy freeman a sellout yet he is the one who is compromising his legacy for the sake of the dollar. as long as he keeps earning money from the naive paying public here in oz, he's not gonna go looking for the fights that will define him as top supermiddleweight of the era.

he should take a leaf out of calzaghes book - joe will earn less against hopkins than he did against kessler. but its the recognition joe is after and hes stated this before.

in 2005 mundine was offered a quarter mill to go to cardiff and fight joe. mundine said he wanted joe to come here to sydney...wtf is that about? if he wants the recognition then he should be prepared to go and get it. y should calzaghe have to travel to the opposite side of the earth?

i used to think mundine had a lot to offer...but my patience is wearing thin!

i very highly doubt we will ever see choc in with a top name super middleweight.
theres some real nice fantasy fights for the fans out the in the SM division. froch, inkin, bute, beyer, bika, miranda.....id love to see choc against just one of these guys. but i doubt it will ever happen.

If he did that, choc will be fighting a decent opponent in about 5 years time when they are already over the hill and can be regarded as a safe fight.
