You watching his rematch with Bowe, Robinson?

The guy visits Georgia, & overnight the local population doubles. Use your imagination

There have been some suave players who've held the Heavy title --- Frazier had a kid at sixteen, Ali was a man-whore, Louis was said to get a lot of pussy on the sly, & Tyson had women throwing themselves at him --- but Evander Holyfield is the Heavyweight champion of scoring, no question.

The head stuff only came about after crybaby Tyson needed an excuse for his loss to Holyfield in 96 and came out with this bullshit, even though tape proves beyond doubt Tyson was lunging in with his head and came out worse for wear, graphiclly in a replay at one point.

Tyson, who in his Ruddock, Bruno, Bonecrusher and other fights can be seen head butting, elbowing, using the shoulder, twisting arms etc and genral bully boy tactics, completely imploded when Holyfield roughed him up and stood up to him.

From this point on, every Holyfield opponent had an alibi for why Holyfield beat the shi t out of them. 'oh it was the head! he uses his head!'

Provide some video evidence!!!

The multiple angle replays show they were just punching it out on the ropes and the heads collided. Holyfield didn't jump in and butt him-- he was easily dominating Rahman anyway.

Holyfield has 53 fights and Rahman is the only one whos head has blown up like that. Freak occurance.

It did provide him with a great alibi though & wash away the memory of him getting outboxed and dominated by the 39 year old.

They might as well have let Billygoat Holyfield come into the ring with a baseball bat.

Couldn't agree with you more about Holyfield. I never heard a word of his "head butting" until the 2nd Tyson fight. This is one of those myths that has little substance to it at all.

Way I see it as well, However didn't Holyfield have a biting event at some point early in his career....where he was the biter rather than the bitee?

Its a boxing match, not a pillow fight. Yes there are rules, but at the core of it, its combat.

You and I know that mate, but many of the pansies on this forum would scream for blows to the head to be made illegal.

Makes you wonder what the hell happened to the martial spirit.

im sure in a few other Fights aside from the Tyson and Hasim Fights, he has used his head to "accidentl collide" when coming Fowards.

Even against tyson during clinchjes, when he would rise up his head would Hit Tyson.

As Bad as Tyson can be, head butting is head butting, regardless who does it and who its done against

Dead right.

I howled with laughter when Tyson & his devotees bitched about Holyfield: This from Tyson who was probably the dirtiest fighter that ever lived & comitted the vilest act I've ever seen in a boxing against HOLYFIELD! :o

Even before he bit Evander's ear in 1997, he'd bitten Tyrell Biggs in 1987, punched after the bell on numerous occasions & often used his elbows in fights; so Tyson had NO cause for complaint before the 1996 Holyfield fight.

It was simply a case of the bully got bullied & we all know that bullies don't like people who stand-up to them.

Exactly, and look at what Holyfield did when Tyson hit him late after the bell in round 1 of their first fight. Did he wine to the ref? No!! He hit him back!!!!

Holyfield wasn't far from a saint but Tyson was dirty if not even more dirty at times! Elbowing headbutting,

I suppose Tyson and Holy are simply following in the footsteps of ring legends Marciano and Saddler.

:TU:

It is quite obnoxious how boxing fans are so selective with the fighters who they decide foul too much. Some here have no problem with Marciano's fouls, but act as if Holyfield was the dirtiest fighter in boxing history.

But, as for Mike, I think his history of elbows, forearms, bites, etc. are well attested to. The idea that he would complain about fouling is...

But, then again, he is insane.

I heard a spectator who saw the Tyson/Spinks fight and the second Tyson/Holyfield fight say he knew Mike was going to lose because approaching the ring he looked the same as Spinks looked approaching the ring for his fight against Tyson.

Terrified.

Good shout.

The fight was effectively over from that point.

Tyson found out that he couldn't bully Evander Holyfied & the die was cast from that point onwards.

I remember wanting to say to my friends at that point, who I was watching it with, that Tyson would get KO'd, but I didn't for fear of ridicule.

I waited until after the 2nd round when Evander had stunned Tyson a couple of times & didn't flinch from Tyson's shot.

I declared my hand & confidently predicted that Tyson would be KO'd in 10 (only 1 round out as it turned out), to much ridicule at that time :P
