The return of Ola Afolabi

Has been MIA (anyone know why?) since beating Orlin Norris back in November '05.

But last night he returned to beat 11-0 Eric Fields, picking up the NABO strap in the process. Stopped Fields in the 10th. Dropped him twice in the 8th too.

Fields stopped Kelvin Davis in the 1st round in January.

Nice win for Ola. Hope he can get active and maybe look for a title shot. Not impossible.

I hope not. At least not yet. Gamboa is great to watch so I hope he does well. Not that there's any worry of that. I'll eat my hat if someone "exposes" him.

Gamboa might be cocky but I dont mind that too much if the fighter can back it up, and Gamboa certainly CAN back it up.

He is phenominal and has the amateur pedigree to support his fast tracking in the pro ranks.

The little I had seen of Fields (his demolition of Kelvin Davis) I had been impressed with - would like to see this fight itself to get a better appreciation of what he has.

Was it a case of 'too much, too soon' for Fields?
