Sounds like those dastardly bookmakers had it about right at 1O-1 then?

So the first of three obscure challengers falls by the wayside: next up Scot Harrison's opponent, then Pinto.....three guys hardly anyone knows anything about.

Those WBO guys know where all the bodies are buried eh?

I'm currently sulking that my Delaney pick went array. I was convinced that a guy with two first round knockout wins behind him, loses the third fight in the sequence.

Calzaghe's fight may have been a mismatch of sorts but i expected more from Mger when i saw him early, he looked strong and squat and i suspected he may have a little to offer late on but it proved not to be the case

Calzaghe however slapped a little bit more than he has done for a while he used it as a public sparring session, with all the talk of how many good fighters and challenges there are up at Light Heavyweight (mostly by Joe himself) there is no excuse for him to face a Mger style foe again

Of course i think there are more than enough challenges still down at SM but alas that is a different argument and after all he is struggling with weight so we can let him off for now

Bet365.com offered in-running odds on the fight and after the first round, were offering 7/1 on Calzaghe winning on points. I stuck £20 on it, because Mkrtchian looked strong as you say Steve - a typical eastern bloc stayer in fact. Right up to the final burst from Calzaghe, I thought the £140 was mine.
