Re: Gaetan Hart
I went to the UFC fight in Montreal yesterday, June 14th, 2008, and had the honor to spend the remainder of the night with friends and of all people, GEATAN HART. What a sweatheart he is. I never knew him as a boxer as I am not a huge fan of boxing; however, I must admit that it was an honor to be with such a humble gentleman.
I must also say that it is such a pity, what we do to our champions. Once they are used up, we simply seem to forget what they spent their life trying to accomplish. It blew my mind to see that such a good man could end up with nothing more than a bitter sweet memory of a sport that encompassed his life, or that was his life.
To all those men who put themselves on the line, body and soul, to keep us on our toes and entertained... You are not forgotten and you are still very much appreciated.
