Boxing's the only sport I really follow and I think it's worth the subscription for their boxing coverage alone.

Wouldn't say it was rubbish.

Say what you want about the SPL but some of the games Setanta have shown have been very entertaining, some of the Premiership games have been pretty tasty as well. Regular live games from the Bundesliga, Liga 1, Eredivisie and the conference (if thats your thing) they are also advertising as showing International friendlies, World Cup qualifiers and the FA Cup soon.

There is good golf coverage including the US PGA Tour, the Setanta subscription includes NASN - North American Sports Network - which covers NHL, MLB, NASCAR, college basketball & football etc There is tonnes of Horse Racing from UK and US

Live Magners League Rugby and live Australian NRL. UFC, the Twenty20 cricket plus all the Boxing as you already know.

Personally I think its great value for money, far better than Sky Sports.

It's worth the subscription money just for the boxing IMO, but I agree it's abit shit other than abit of Premiership football. Still early days for Setanta really and their boxing coverage has been excellent in recent times

It's a cut-throat market for sporting rights.

All the best rights are sewn up elsewhere; but for boxing alone, it's worth the money, as it's the often the only way you can see some big domestic bouts on terrestrial TV (although you have to pay for it :-? ).

The schedule looked pretty good... had it for a month or two and only get reception about 5-10% of the time, the rest is all broken, intermittent and completely unreliable.
May be where I live, but the Sky has no problems.

I only got it in the beggining for the boxing and Blue Square premier football as it was a good chance to see other teams in the league plus it's given me the chance to see Stevenage games that I would've otherwise missed.Paul Parker's a bit of a crap commentator though and he seems to be on a constant downer on us.

I've enjoyed some of the other they show and it's well worth the money in my view.

Setanta need to show some undercard fights that weren't televised so they can build up fighters. They don't need to show Woods v Tarver a million times.

Once was more than enough

I agree that some undercard action would be a nice additiion to their coverage, such as the Danny Williams bout that we never got to see

Nah multiple replays are needed! Then you can always catch it a few days later if you missed it/ Many replays are better than none (i.e. ITV and Beeb etc) in my opinion.

Boxing, Non-League, Premierleague and Scottish League (for laughs!) footie keeps me entertained for £10 a month. Long may it continue.

I'm on Sky, so I just phone them up and they connect me? Is it £14.99 to connect and then £10 a month?

Yeah, I agree- they need to show more grass roots boxing, rather than just the bigger fights.

If they could cover say 2 decent boxing shows a week (maybe one brit, one international), live, then that would be worth it.

In the era of Sky plus ( and FFS videos ) there really is no need to show re-runs of events over and over. Thats a problem all the sky channels have- repeating stuff all the time.

You need to speak to setanta direct, even though you will be viewing it through the sky platform.

Those figures sound right, although it might be 20 quid connection.

I subscribed to setanta lastnite solely for the Calzaghe/Hopkins battle and whatever upcoming boxing is on the horizon. It got put on lastnite and i aint actually watched anything yet until 2nite so im not to sure what the coverage is going to be like 2nite hopefully it will maybe have a fight or two b4 the big one kicks off. I paid 14.99 connection fee and 5 a month for the first three months then 10 a month after seems pretty good deal at the mo. :TU:
