the challenge i see for fenech, if he decides the nelson fight isnt just a 1 off, would be calvin grove.

fenech at his peak would have destroyed grove. the fenech grove beat was a shell of his former self. it was a humiliating defeat. grove, a non puncher, nearly took fenechs head off with a perfect right hand.

id love to see jeff avenge this defeat, and win back the australian featherweight title from jackson asiku, which would also win fenech the commonwealth title...! asiku has a respectable 22-3-0, 12 ko's.

when 44 yrs olds make a comeback after a long period of inactivity it doesnt always have a happy ending. fenech aint about to do a george foreman and win a world title...he just misses the hype and the action, nothing serious will come of this.

i agree hes getting on and a WT isnt realistic. but with a few fights under his belt, he may see the commonwealth title as winnable. still an admirable goal at 44. ive no doubt he would reach the fitness to achieve it, but weather he has the motivation.......................?

i wonder how much of it has to do with money? id assume hes doing okay because his fenech clothing line seems to make it onto the shelves of quite a few big retailers. but then if he had dollars in the bank why would he have been busted for shoplifting a $350 watch a couple yrs ago?

time will tell i guess, i look forward to seeing what he has left to offer

fenech is a mug. thats why he stole the watch. he doesnt need the money. he is a mug that can fight and loves the spotlight.
