Date for Williams v Hide set to be announced Monday
Seems like the deal is done they have agreed to fight apparently for the EU title. Dont know if the purse bids have taken place but know they will have to take place because of conflicting TV deals.

I SMELL TROUBLE AHEAD.
This fight makes a lot of sence in that its a good way for either fighter to get their career back on track were as the loser will have nowhere to go, so the pressure is on for both of them.
Now here lies the problem, if this fight happens and I still have my doubts we are dealing with two talented fighters with many impressive physical atributes which at times have many fans thinking they could compete with the best in the world.
However they both seem to be mentaly fragile, Hide can be very volatile like before the Viltali fight and in his out of ring 'problems'. Williams seems to lack confidence and sometimes does not look comfortable in the ring.
There is also as we know history between these two fighters, they don't like each other at all, this could spell TROUBLE. The BBBC, SKY/BBC need to very carefull with this one at press conferences and weight-ins etc. We dont want another brawl like Hide-Bentt.
Due to this fact it may make a great fight in the ring or it may lead to an ill-tempered, foul filled fight.

really hope you are right but Danny has this unbelievable capcity for just not turning his brain on.
Sinal Sam and sprott shwo this and the one thing that Herbie can still do is talk to intimidate and punch hard. I
f he gets inside williams head then god help us HH will be back in the domestic scene and how, personally I hope Danny retires him.

Hide cacked it last time Williams called his bluff, and let's face it, since getting destroyed by Vitali, who has Hide beaten, let's have a look shall we?
Alex Vassilev 222½ 15-11-1
2003-05-27 220 Joseph Chingangu 222 20-8-0
2003-04-16 223¾ Derek McCafferty 240 2-13-1
2001-09-22 Joseph Chingangu 19-5-0
2001-07-14 Alexei Osokin 9-10-1
Wow, what a bunch of luminaries!
Neither Hide nor Williams is exactly on the up, and Williams hasn't exactly lit the world up with his talent, but I still think he has too much for Hide, and isn't in the slightest scared of Hide, who I think he knows is cacking it.

i agree, i happen to think Williams may be able to take one or two of Herbie's shots without going down. A stiff jab would have Hide in alot of trouble.MightyWarrior wrote:What makes anyone think Hide will intimidate DW?
He's already knocked him cold in sparring, even Herbie has admitted as much.
The Hide we see is just a mirage - his chin is GONE.
He'll go down faster than George Michael the first time he gets hit by a 1/2 decent fighter.
Psychologically, Williams will be alot more confident also. He's generally feeling alot more relaxed, and with his history with Hide, he should be even more confident without being arrogant.
