Rhodes seemed to slow down and get tagged a fair bit in the 4th, maybe a Woolcombe round.

Good 5th round for Rhodes, hurt Woolcombe a few times, Woolcombe also cut on the right eye, nothing too serious though.

5 - gw schooled in that one -wobbled twice but not terribly.....hit rhodes on back of head after break......shouldve been a point off right there!!! rhodes too comfortable to bothr arguing..........gw wants to think about keeping at range cos as predicted by NEBF (not exclusively mind rr classier shots.

rhodes has won by KO........different class to woolcombe......woolcombe had a VERY hard first defence.........you really shouldn't have to box a mere 31 yr old who's twice boxed for world honours in your FIRST brit title defence

woolcombe sat up and on the oxygen........it was a huge right walked right into it.......bad KO.

an EXCELLENT performance for Rhodes and a gutsy but ultimately unfortunate night for Woolcombe.......he will hopefully recover more fully very shortly.........

GW on own two feet and off the oxygen, good effort Gary Woolcombe :TU: :TU: :TU:

Its a tricky one to call, though- had he performed differently (ie worse) people might have been saying Rhodes was over the hill- but on the evidence of this, he is still a very classy performer.

Looking at Rhode's record, he has recently had a lot of very mediocre opponents, it was hard to tell exactly how good he was.

Nice to see the return of the Spice Boy! Hopefully a match with Pryce shouldn't be too far off, Rhodes should take care of that one.

Then if Moore does the biz on the Euro front, a match up with him, would be a top domestic dust up.
