That fight was cancelled of course, but probably had something to do with fighting Ali later.
I never believe the police version of such an incident.

They (police) have been proven to lie too many times to count.

The policeman was scared to death of Cleveland Williams because Williams was a big strong guy and towered over him.
..Williams, however, gave the Policeman who shot him tickets to the Ali fight. Seems he had no hard feelings towards him.
Maybe he was hoping he wouldn't get shot again.

Maybe his manager gave the tickets as a pr gesture.

I know I wouldn't give tickets or anything else to someone who shot me or tried to shoot me at point blank range.

granny, I may be misjudging you here, but I'm not honestly sure you would give the time of day to the Pope.

Question:

Is buzz following me around boxrec to make pathetic attempts at snide remarks when I post

or

is he a competent moderator?

Police have been proven to lie too many times in court for us to believe anything they say.

As opposed to criminals, who have a sterling record in upholding truth & honesty, in & out of court.

Good point. Just the other day I was wrestling with a cop on my way to a charity auction :TU:

The world would be a better place without those filthy Police scum.

Fame & Recognition Scale...

Clueless Drunkard, Bert Sugar 1 All-knowing, unappreciated Granberry 0

All-knowing Granberry doesn't have the recognition & fame of the great Bert Sugar he desperately desires

& he NEVER will.

Irene shows up as directed by his mentor collins to post off topic attempts at snide remarks.

Irene has a vast amount of knowledge of police procedures

and of course he was present at the incident where Cleveland Williams was shot.

So I have been told by quite a number of valued contributors. However in spite of the ongoing critical comments, and for the time being, I fully intend to continue my support of your right to speak your mind as you see fit.

Do yourself a favor. buzz, and admit you have nothing to offer a boxing site except the ability(?) to follow posts made by others and attempt to make pathetic attempts at snide ad hominem [non-boxing] posts whenever they post.

granberry, your manly, courageous, daring relentless and badgering words over the internet may work to impress some, however I prefer the company of women. So though your persistence is noted, sadly it will never get you the attention (or the help) that you truly seek and require.

For that I would suggest to you a site based on a more social theme other than a boxing sports forum where this sort of infatuation is for the most part frowned upon. This was once a topic that was enjoyed by some but like a bizzaro world Cap'n Kirk, you have taken it where no man has gone before, so for the time being I'm going to lock it. If someone really wants it reopened later I will be happy to do so.

Read the rules, follow them and be well.
