We'll never hear the end of 'best SM ever' now, on the downside.

just a little.

styles didn't gel.

but calzaghe pushed the action.

he was the one that wanted to win.

hopkins just sat back and held when joe got close.

terrible fight.

delighted that the judges didn't reward that from hopkins. :TU:

Hopkins is upset about losing to a white boy.

i thought hopkins won to be honest

was similar to the taylor fight in that his style ultimately cost him

how chuck champer scores ut 116-11 i'll never know

Wasn't exactly a conclusive win though, was it? Kessler must be gutted he didn't delay for an extra year.

I thought Hopkins won, and could see sense in some of what he was saying in the post fight interview. Okay, it wasn't as clear cut as he is making out.... but he did make Joe look very ordinary and amateurish.

Tyson - completely agree..... Imagine Hopkins on 36 year old legs and not 43 year old. Only reason Joe got back into the fight was cause Hopkins was gassing.

I thought Hopkins won it boderline tbh....but he had that negative defensive style which doesnt sit well with US judges.. 116-111? Get the f**#k out..

Yeah, well I had it for Hopkins.

Going to the states isn't such a massive deal now, as there is such a support.

Thats Calzaghe and Hatton vs Collazo winning controvesial decisions in recent times.

You only get 1 extra point for a Knock down on top of the 10-9, unless you really win it big or theirs another k down and it can go to 10-7!

Hopkins was trying to do a Larry Holmes, use all his old sly fox tricks and thought his limited punches would be enough but looking back over the years, ring generalship is what jusges go for most. Think it was Chuck Giampa that went for 116-111, he's a very experienced judge.

Your from Wales? You should be happy!

NICE ON JOE! FANTASTIC STUFF!!!!!!!!

How can you have it for Hopkins if you didn't score it. Watch it again (the pain) and score it give us a review. A lot of yanks are saying Joe won.

Judging by his performance today.... I think the odds on Jones pulling off the upset have shortend.

He'll tag Joe for certain - whether he can sustain it or hurt Joe is a different proposition.

115 - 113 for Hopkins for me. More accurate shots, harder shots. Calzaghe threw a lot, but not many landed and very few, if any, landed clean.

One 10-8 round for Hopkins and one round even.

The other rounds 5 each.

I dont think Joe landed enough clean shots to justify taking Bernards title.

Hopkins should retire and Joe should fight Jones then retire.

Lmao, I listened on the radio and Spencer Oliver had me thinking Hopkins totally dominated. I should have known from his tv commentary...
