Yeah it was...... I think McGuigan might have been starting to feel the long night (I mean an 7 hour show with only 3 fights (two mis matches)... must have been tough).Matt W wrote:The Whitney Houston moment was funny![]()
Audley did get some serious stick but it's hard to sypathise.
Canditate for worst undercard ever?
I don't know if Bunce is scared of McGuigan or just holds him in higher authority than Woodhall (or less of a mate)... but he was a bit more subdued last night... and IMO that was MUCH MUCH MUCH better.

Barry does not tel it how it is!Syntax Error wrote:He's just telling the truth.REAL_DEAL wrote:Taking about audley now talk about kicking while a guy is down.
There is no sense in carrying Audley's jockstrap when he is next to useless.
I like Pundits like Barry who tell it how it is.
He says what he is told ( on ITV) - as someone said.
'He would call himself a wanker if someone on ITV told him to!'
Going back to the frist couple of posts.
I dont mind Mcguigan, However that Dempsey annoys the S**t out of me.
He asks a question and gives the poundits 4 seconds to answer or he will talk straight over them!!
His job is to ask the pundits their view, instead he just questions their answers constantly!! This aint Question time. Guys a joke.

I think Dempsey remembers how it was on SKY when Barry Mcguigan thought he owned he show!

I thought they worked quite well. McGuigan isn't going to stand for too much hyperbole bollocks and it actually reigned Bunce in. Buncey's contribution as a colour guy showed itself in a good light with the filling of the gaps and background peripheral stuff.
But I will always want to see a reasonably articulate ex fighter who has been there and done it, in reality, and giving an appraisal and analysis.
I have plenty of time for the Ole Cyclone and his attempts to articulate his deep rooted experience as a fighter into what may be going on with a fighter and trying to balance the shite of pure media.
I thought the Whitney Housten distraction was hilarious - a bit like I would have loved to give her a length back in the day and still would just for memory's sake and because she turned out quite well on the night.

I Like McGuigan, Bunce is the one who gets on my nerves the way he goes on and on. I used to like Bunce but find that now he's a regular on Setanta he grates with me.
Johnny Nelson is annoying on Sky when he talks about what a fighter should be doing etc when as a fighter though he was skilled nobody wanted to watch him he was a stinker of a fighter.

That was pissing me off and all.I was wondering why he bothered to even ask the questions after the 3rd or 4th time he did it.Jack2007 wrote:Going back to the frist couple of posts.

The constant expression of shock after the Calzaghe fight was annoying to.

I met Paul Dempsey a few years ago, and he said to me that he dont know anything about boxing. His questions are prepared for him and he just turns up, does his stint, collects his money and says thank you, see you next time.
As Amir Khan is having his last fight on ITV in June, that will be end of boxing on ITV. Barry has to get work somewhere and he was always ended up where Sports Network have had the contract. Think about it now!

That did make me laugh DG.
The main problem with all these "presenters" and ex-fighter "experts" is that they are not the greatest judges. The better judges are your writers such as Bunce and Abrams.
Holdsworth and Mee on Eurosport provide a much better commentary and analysis than anyone you see on BBC, ITV, Sky or Setanta.

I disagree with that, always like Watt/McGuigan's card.... Woodhall/McKenzie - yeah not too great.Reyes wrote:That did make me laugh DG.
