It was a close fight that could have gone either way. To call it a disgrace of a decision is ridiculous. Calzaghe is a worthy winner.

No I am in the money I thought Calzaghe was going to win easy - and was worried he would embarres Hopkins - but, I don't like seeing the champion lose a decision like that... whether its by a Welshman or not.

So why is me ASKING a question if both parties have declared the same story regarding the millenium stadium negotations a sign of "self-hating".

According to Steve Collins - Roy Jones turned down a reasonable offer to fight him... according to team Jones, the offer was financially unviable.

Stu knows loads about Boxing, whether I agree with him on occasions is irrelevant but he is clued up

The mugger was horrible and the technician tried to make it into a spoiling match which he succeeded in.

It was a vile, atrocious fight. Calzaghe looked so much like Hatton going into the big fight without many ideas.

Hopkins should retire. He contributes almost nothing to a fight, does just enough to nutralise the other guy without actually, ACTIVELY doing anything.

The fact is Calzaghe won. OK, I'll go with this. Calzaghe beat a 43 yo man by split decision. Very disappointing. I know Hopkins wasn't a willing partner but still, I thought Joe was meant to be adaptable. He still has dues to pay a light heavy. Why not go for Glen Johnson? An old bastard that fvcking fights a full night's work every fight, who throws clean shots, and who may have beaten a 25 yo big talent in Chad Dawson last weekend?

It's clear why Warren has saved all this for so long. Joe doesn't have a proper fighting style. It works vs guys who come at him, but not necessarily s guys he has to go after.

i was dissapointed with the quality of action but i had calz winning a close fought fight,hopkins did everything to put joe into frustration and at times he did-making it an ugly fight but joes higher but lower than usual workrate probably did it for me.

theres always someone that makes good fighters look bad.

hopkins has had his days and now its time to get out the ring and now its .time to concentrate on other things but i also think joe should have 1 final fight at roy jones and then sign out.hes had a good life in the ring so now time to enjoy the rest of it with his family

Why do we want to watch Joe cash in vs another guy who will try and survive?

Ages ago I wrote that post Lacy, Joe should not go for Jones and Hopkins as they were bouts to make him look bad.

Warren cannot resist picking the massive advantage. Backfired with Enzo vs a "drained" Haye and it nearly backfired tonight when Joe was spoiled all night long.

Is this how we like our boxers to be moved along, is this how we want 'em to be developed? Warning signs for future stars with wonky styles. Go out to the US early, learn the tricky inside stuff that opponents do, take in the atmosphere and learn to deal with it ASAP. No point building up and building up, threatening to do it for years and then going out there and flopping. Yeah, I mean Khan. Get him a proper learnign curve in other words.
