For many years in the seventies,at the Chicago Golden Gloves Kent Green was introduced at ringside as the only fighter to k.o. Ali. He stopped Ali in the amateurs in the late fifties.
This was , of course prior to Ali being stopped by Holmes.
Green was a nice guy, He and Ali remained friends for a long time.
I wonder what happened to Green, as for years he owned a store in Chicago he was a bit of a celeberity for awhile and he had a brief pro career of his own.
I remember reading somewhere that he worked as a supervisor/dispatcher for some soft dirnk manufacturer -Coke or Pepsi- but I don't remember if he was in the West coast or Midwest.

Thanks Enrique.
Kent was just one of those local hero kind of guys during the seventies Chicago boxing scene.
He would be always sitting there at ringside for the Golden Gloves.
