Erdei doesn't even come into the equation for me. He's more than likely going to continue on his current path and I don't even think he beat Garay in either fight. If you put him on the list then Garay has to be there as well.

For me Dawson is the pick of the bunch, although his chin could be a problem. The man is the biggest out of the top light heavyweights and yet his the fastest and most athletic as well. A deadly combination if you ask me. That's a tough fight for Calzaghe if you ask me. Tarver has got some nice defensive skills, but if you put the pressure on him he's very beatable. He likes to fight at his own pace like Hopkins, only he's not as good at making his opponents fight at that pace like Hopkins. He does have a better offensive output than Hopkins at this stage though, so he won't be an easy nights work for the other top guy's. Johnson is still right in there as well and hasn't been convincingly beaten by anyone. Had those Woods fights been staged outside of Britain, he probably would have gotten the nod in all three.

In an ideal world you would match up Calzaghe, Johnson, Tarver and Dawson any way you want and then the winners could square off. Calzaghe is gonna end up fighting Jones though and Dawson will fight Tarver. Then Calzaghe will retire and the other guy's will do whatever they decide to do. Jones and Tarver won't be to far behind Calzaghe in all likelihood.

The first two certainly - the third I think Woods probably did just enough in the last couple of rounds and would have had something to complain at had he not got the decision.

Do not write off RJJ against Calzaghe - I mean did Calzaghe do that well for you guys to form such an opinion that RJJ has no chance?

At present I have it as follows:

Hopkins
Calzaghe
Tarver
Dawson
Johnson/Woods
Erdei

And by the way - do not write off Clinton Woods just yet until he formally retires - if he retires - just because of the performance against Tarver which clearly wasn't good you seem to be forgetting the performances prior to that fight - clearly something got to Clinton against Tarver - there has to be a reasonable explanation for that.

I had Hopkins winning he landed the better, cleaner more effective punches throughout the fight, Calzage missed and looked horrible. 1 judge had it to Hopkins and around 25% of the fans had it to Hopkins.

Calzage won on walking forward forcing the pace throwing allot of ineffective shots that had little effect. Hopkins won on throwing better, quality shots that were effective and making Calazage miss. Its what you prefer

Have to agree with that - although I have to say a lot of the rounds were very difficult indeed to score.
