After his last fight it was printed that 6 fighters pulled out on him, I think he is ready for anyone except may be the big Kiwi who's name I cannot remember at the moment - fought Rachman.

He can fight but needs to improve opposition or he wil be our heavy weight version of the mouth mundine

Solo fights anyone put in front of him. His 100% KO record makes fighters wary of facing him.

He does not have to call anybody out. They all know he is there.

I'm afraid Solomon is only skilled as doing his talking inside the ropes.

Outside the ring he was unable to talk the "Pleasure Machine" around but was easily talked home by his motor-mouth mate: Mundine.

He was born in NZ, I dont care that he claims hes Australian thats cool with me but your country of birth is the country your technically from so to speak. Just like Nathan Briggs was born in NZ but im sure he wants to be known as an aussie.

Kali Meehan was born in Fiji. He lived in New Zealand when he was young and is an Australian citizen.

Q: What is a New Zealander?
A: Somebody who can't afford the rent on a flat at Bondi.

Soloman does have Jonny lewis in his corner," the "Jonny Lewis.

Soloman punches like a sledge Hammer, he's fit, but can he take a punch?

Except for the last comment it is a beautiful combination, and i cant see Jonny tagging along for a journey,Soloman will step up this year and break the top 50 fighters.

i certainly hope so. it would be a shame to see someone with such promise not take that extra step. he may not become world champion but you would like to think that in time he could put on a good showing against some of the best in the world. i just think having someone like solo making waves in the heavyweight division is what aussie boxing needs. at the end of the day it's the heavyweights that most people want to watch.
solo will get beat at some stage and because he started so late at boxing he may struggle in the skill level when he meets some of the better fighters. but one thing is for sure he is a tough bugger who won't go down easily.

aussie top 5 not really aussies :)

Post by RedCornerPromotions »

So our top 6 Aussie Heavyweights aren't really Aussies at all!

Bob Mirovic - Croatian
Nathan Briggs - Kiwi
Kali Meehan - Kiwi
Alex Leapai - Samoan
Solo - Samoan
Colin Wilson - Kiwi

Whne we put on the Aussie Heavyweight Title betwen Briggs and Wilson I did think it ironic it was between two Kwiis. Didnt tell anyone though :)

Solo was born on 13 October 1976. His father, Maile Haumona, won the Australian heavyweight title on 10 November 1976.

They must have got here in a hurry, or Solo may have been born when his parents were visiting their relatives.

I know a lot of Croats. With Mirovic's Aussie accent he must have been very young when he came here. He started boxing here when he was 21 and fought nowhere before that. Meehan was born in Fiji, not New Zealand.

Why did you leave De Mori out? Does his being born in Western Australia spoil your story?

We are an immigrant nation. At least two of our first six prime ministers were born overseas. It is only 107 years since the Commonwealth of Australia came into being. You do not have to be born here to be one of us, you just have to pledge your loyalty and mean it.

This is a topic that shits me. Every pub, party,or BBQ i go to theirs a nationality across the pond accusing us Australians of claiming thier fellow countrymen. First it was Russell Crowe than it was Rugby leagues Karmichael Hunt, (fornicate even last night on the footy show Rugbyleague, that wanker who cant string a coherant sentance together SBW claimed Aboriginals as Polynesians, and that our national team of rugby league players where made up of fuckin islanders. Now your saying all our heavy weights are Non Australian,Pissoff.

I personally now the Briggs boys grew up in Brisbane from a young Age.

We are a multi cultural country, and the talent at the moment last name isn't smith or johnson, but who give's a hoot,we trained em ,we educated em, the talent is only as good as the teacher, and i can assure you Lewis is Australian, Hyder is Australian, the people you claim that aren't Australian claim and pledge thier allegance to Australia. So why whinge.

Boxers born in Australian were lost to other nations years ago, i don't whinge. i dont say he's not english, he's Australian when the union Jack is raised or god save the queen is played.

The truth of the matter is Kiwi' are the biggest hipocrite' 3/4 of the allblacks are made up of somoans, tongans, and fijians, you dont here us in the pub yelling oh shit the fijian just scored in the corner for the allblacks. Shut up! we kick your ass in every sport, we have the depth,we are a powerhouse in world sport.

Which brings me to my conclusion, why would you want to claim them a kiwi when they recognise Australia as thier nation.
Do you have trouble's getting over your ex Mrs as well?
My appoligie' if this offended anyone, this is just one guy who's fed up with sooks.

p.s I'm Pretty smashed too.

Bugner came here as part of his retirement plan and to evade his responsibilities, and has been involved in some dodgy dealings since he got here. I have no time for him.

I remember Carroll O'Connor as Archie Bunker in the old "All in the Family" TV show describing a Hungarian as "someone who can go into a revolving door behind you and come out in front of you."

That's Joe.
