TV EXCLUSIVE

Post by twenty six »

I have it on good authority that one of our most eminant posters, fully clued up on the British Boxing scene, will be appearing on Setanta in about 45 minutes time (1.15pm) for an in depth analysis of the british boxing scene.
Tune in and be prepared.
In the words of the famous Rolf Harris - can you tell who it is, yet ????
 :o :box:
No - it ain't Buncy but he'll be there as an "extra" !

He's been in this game too long to let some one dictate to him that just because he's from Philly he should be used to the cold.

Andy "Spud" Woollatt.

Whilst I am here I really want to bring Buncey to task - he had Calzaghe winning the fight by 2 rounds but what has got me biting is that he feels there have been numerous fighters who have avoided Joe - I just don't see it that way.

I will state it again so no one thinks this is sour grapes - Joe Calzaghe in my view is a bloody good world class fighter - but he leaves me as a boxing fan totally frustrated mainly because I honestly believe now a prime Joe Calzaghe could have taken on and beaten the very best prime fighters in the world.

The point now is - my thoughts about Joe Calzaghe being a legend is quite simply "he could have and should have been" - but all of us on here can only give our opinions on this as I do not feel Calzaghe has proved it beyond reasonable doubt - due to those wasted years fighting the Tocker Pudwills of this world.
