HAYE VS KLITSCHKO

was listening to the radio this morning and one of the sport news headlines was apparently both are in talks to fight this year and Klitschko was quoted as saying something along the lines of he(Haye) will need to move up in weight but he is confident he will want to do it.

So by the sounds it Klitschko wants it, Haye going on his past of never ducking a fighter, being a hage pay day and cleaning up the division ect would definately want it..

Should make for a good fight but i would have thought he would have taken a tune up at hw before jumping straight in at the main man.

Wlad has Thompson and Povetkin waiting in line as mandatories first.

Unless of course, he is aiming to drop the IBF strap, leaving Povetkin to fight someone else so he can take on Haye?

Klit is fighting Thompson is July. I heard that Povetkin is also going to fight around that time, then Povetkin and Klit will fight later in the year. That leaves no room for Haye this year.

Suspect this is a duff story unless they meant V, not W.

Wouldn't that increase the Haye hype, if he gets in there with Vitali and KOs the current version who seems to be made of biscuits

Although aren't they looking at going straight to a shot at Peter for the WBC?

Well, why not Haye vs Povetkin then... that would get him a shot quick sharp.

I'd really like Haye's chances here vs Povetkin.

More I think of Haye vs Klitchsko - the more I'm siding towards Wlad and his ability to smoother.

Povetkin is looking for a fight in the summer, but I doubt he'll take such a risky one.

I can't see Haye starting on the IBF trail. I would expect him to do a Holyfield and be highly ranked by WBC and/or WBA. I think he said on spam he was looking for a fight in the winter. Plus the IBF are a;lready looking at a mandatory for the winner of Povetkin v Klitschko.

Peter would be awesome, but there's still the Vitali problem.

I'd wait and see if Povetkin can beat Klitschko. That's what I'd do if I was Haye. Povetkin is the only heavyweight that anyone seems to rate, and who knows, he may be able to overcome the size disadvantage with skills, willpower and workrate (or may not).

The wheels are bound to come off Wlad again. The whole industry, IMO, will look for a reason not to give him the decision each time he fights as he's become aliability. HBO have to have the heavyweight belts but at some point they must blame Wlad for these shit fights. Wlad promises nothing to the sport, apart from defensive, negative stuff. No one wants to see him fight.

Ppl always say in the old days, so and so would've gotten thrown out for not working. When you look at performances by Wlad and Hopkins this supports that view. If you keep pissing ppl off, when you get in a really close fight, suddenly ...plop...you lose the decision.

If Haye KO's Peter quick sharp, especially if his chin stands up to some Peter shots, I fully expect Klitchsko's back to start playing him up again.

Not so sure about Wlad imploding myself.

He is slowly regaining his confidence, and when on from, offensively at least, he is a very dangerous fighter.

I can see him dominating for the next few years.
Doesn't mean to say Haye, Povetkin and Solis can't give him some serious trouble though.

It's shaping up to be a pretty good division I think.

Wlad, Chagaev, Peter, Povetkin, Haye, Solis and then we will have an influx of pretty decent fighters after the Olympics.
Suddenly the Heavies aren't looking that bad(maybe I'am being optimistic)
