That was awesome, thanks for posting it.
All the action was brilliant, great to see Benn's highlights.
The scariest puncher was Julian Jackson, he didnt just stop or KO guys, he left them for dead, out for ages.
And rounded off by the definitive fight............Hagler vs Hearns.
Just superb!!!!!!

Great to see how some of those right hands are delivered :-?
Its so easy to see why big punchers get the chinny label also .. how they move all the body in with the punch will just triple the impact .. of what they land - or what the other guy is throwing back :o

Always great to see how Ray Robinson delivered his punches .. the `Sugar` often fools people into thinking he was more boxer than puncher .. but what a puncher he was .. every punch was meant to put you down:x

It's a shame they all dried up by 1996.

But then again, the inner city gyms dried up by 1990.

That 80s conveyor belt was just sick, ill.

can you see what I am getting at re: the quality and generally greater level of polish on the MMA highlight reels?

Jackson Kayos sent chills down your spine, and that vid doesn't show it but the guy Roy Jones Kayo'd with that seemingly-nothing right-hand,that guys eyes rolled to the back of his head, and it was pretty damn scarey. Benn was just a beast.

One thing I always raised an eyebrow at was Benn saying that he could take Roy Jones punch alday or something along those lines. Certainly can't go with that. I'lllook for the quote, wait there.

Ah,it was in reference to Mike McCallum, maybe just trying to emphasise how damaging bodyshots are. Benn said this:"There is a lot of talk about me fighting Mike McCallum. But if I fight McCallum, I want to get paid very, very well indeed. He's the kind of fighter who can leave you with a lot of internal damage. He can be 50 or 60, he's still a bad mother. I've got so much respect for him. I think it would be harder fighting him than Roy Jones, tell you the truth. I could take Roy Jones' best punch and laugh all day long. But with McCallum, I wonder what I'm going to be like internally afterwards. That's what you've got to take into consideration. Roy Jones can punch hard, but McCallum hits you in the same place from round one to round 12. he ain't snatching my body(laughs)."

'Ray Leonard had a lot of glamour. But he didn't have the skills of Mike McCallum.' - Roy Jones

"I class Roy Jones as the number one, and I want that position. He's phenomenally quick. He might hit me more times than Gerald McClellan did, but he damn sure isn't going to hit me any harder." -Nigel Benn(1995) Hall of Famer for sure.

The only Benn who'd stand a chance against RJJ is the 88-92 one and that's a fantasy match

It's a punchers chance, albeit a bigger one than just about anyone

By the way, the video that started this thread is a sequel of sorts. The first video was "the Punchers: The Heavyweights". In my view, it was even better.

Can't find it now, for some reason.

Julian Jackson was definitely the hardest puncher out of all the middleweights and is seen by many as the p4p hardest puncher of all time.

Great vid! :box:

NO worries mate - MMA has some sick highlight makers, like Genghis Con.

Here is a link for a few of his materpieces:

I would love to see some boxing highlights with this level of professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately they are few and far between.
