When you think Benn was 26, Eubank 24, Naz 21, Calzaghe 25, Hatton 26...

But then again, look at Marvin Hagler, Steve Collins and Bernard Hopkins.

Carl has never lost or even got out of second gear yet.

And look at the recent super-fight, with Calzaghe and Hopkins supposedly peaking at 36 and 43.

So who knows. Maybe numbers mean jack.

Yip, in the boxing column in The Sun. What a shame, and we have booked train tickets, wonder if you can get a refund on them?? Still want to go for Witter and Fewkes but think our ringside tickets are over priced for just these two fights.

Hopkins and Calzaghe are definitely not at their peaks, unfortunately. There's not much time for Froch if he wants to make a big impact, imo.

Surely anyone World ranked will be real tough to find at 2 weeks notice.

In saying that Hennessy has delivered some real good late replacements in the past but that was at Commonwealth title level.

wouldnt be a bad stand in at all, although the last memory of Berrio I have is seeing his head loll awkwardly as he got KO'ed by Bute.

That said, I would like to see this bill saved if at all possible - the support card is great - and a stand with Berrio's credentials would keep the main event interesting in my eyes.

Inkin should now be thrown out of the eliminator all together - 3rd time is one time too many

His record is impressive but he was exposed a fair bit by losing to the light middle/middle Zuniga via KO - looked exhausted at the end, and on that showing he would get pulvarised by Froch.

Just watched Oganov's winning effort against tough journeyman Richard 'Alien' Grant (he was illegally ko'ed post fight by James Butler).

Though Ogannov looked dreadful: he is closer to 5'6 than 5'9 and he was defensively lax, with poor accuracy and too square on. He wouldnt get out of the second round with Carl and would need a step ladder just to hit him!

some would suggest that dale westerman was not of the quality to fight froch but from ringside he caused the cobra more problems than most

from Inkin to Oganov is quite a drop off in quality of opposition IMO.

Cant see what Ogannov could have in his amoury to trouble The Cobra to be honest with you

This is where Hennessy having Witter on the same show is CRUCIAL - it will have saved the show. If this rumour is true - and not a load of bollocks to put ppl off going - about Inkin, then Murray-Fewkes will get some better coverage.

True - it is/was a DEEP card. SN could take a few tips from Hennessey with regards to the match making on show!

Oganov does have the same promoter as Timothy Bradley, who fights Witter. Maybe for convenience, Gary Shaw could get Oganov to come over.
