Just read an article in todays New of the world which says Amir has split with Trainer Oliver Harrison and will be linking up with possibly Roach , Mcgirt or Mayweather after having a training session with him in Las Vegas.

Yeah- his personna has been very much the "humble lad from Bolton" so far, it will be interesting to see how that changes.STP wrote:Khan better hope he doesn't flop in pro boxing.
He made the decision to sign with Warren for the millions, and now he's making the decision to live in Las Vegas I assume, for the bright lights.
If he becomes a flop in boxing, he'll get no love lost...

Interesting. Especially as recentl Oliver was voicing his concerns about Amirs out of the ring distractions. I wonder if Oliver is as much behind the spilt as Khan, perhaps Amir was getting a bit to big for his own boots?
I don't like Amir teaming up with Roger if he thinks he can somehow turn him into Floyd. Roger's credentials cannot be judged on floyd alone (being he is unique). Who else has Roger trained with any success? That's a genuine question as I don't know anyone other than Laila Ali or Wes Feguson?
If Khan is going to the states to get a trainer I would much rather he went with someone other than the big star trainers, Mayweather (Rog and Floyd Snr) Roach or McGirt. Someone like Joe Goosen, who did a good job with Mosely(albeit in one fight) and Corrales.

I'm not surprised that this has happened.
Khan trained with Roger Mayweather recently!!
Who told you that?
First I have heard of this?
Whatever. Khan has to learn so maybe this will help him.
