Well said Eddie. Eubank JR is an idiot of the highest order. He reminds me of Herbie Hide (in regards to his level of idiocy!)EddieShredder wrote:Crew2 wrote:HE WAS 15 WHEN HE HAD THAT STREETFIGHT IN A BRIGHTON CARPARK (A FRIENDLY SEASIDE RESORT ), IT WAS 05

Keeping a figher "secret" by releasing a statement like this?
As for him being held back from the Olympics, seemingly because he is too good....simply fantasy.
Would be like the average man on the street buying the winning lottery ticket and refusing to cash it in.
Certain young fighters always get hyped, especially if they have the right sounding name.

Talking as someone who knows him personally and has seen him train and fight you have all got him very wrong. He's a polite and very respectful kid who's gone to the USA to learn to fight rather than get into the sort of trouble his name was getting him in at home. Believe me he can actually fight as well and would definately make the Olympics this year if he wanted but is aiming for the pro game as soon as possible and will fight in England as Christopher Eubank Jnr (Brighton).
apparently eubank sr said, 'son, lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice!'
and eubank jr is determined to prove him wrong!
for what its worth, he's very laidback and quiet, and speaks the queens english (when he does speak). he doesn't drink or smoke, finishes us high school in the summer and will train full time from there. mccallum really rates him highly.
eubank sr rates mccallum as a trainer after watching him train tyson for lennox l. they (eubank sr and mike m) never used to like eachother (well, mike m didnt like eubank) before getting on at tysons camp.
what mccallum wants him to do is have fights on both sides of the atlantic so he gets the best of both worlds, as in fan base! he already has thousands on his myspace and facebook and bebo pages that will probably flock to his fights.
'please god he makes me a rich man!' mccallum said jokingly.

He seemed like a quiet kid on 'At Home With The Eubanks', well spoken and pretty intelligent, so why the new persona?boxingchat wrote:Talking as someone who knows him personally and has seen him train and fight you have all got him very wrong. It's not as if the kid has had any kind of hardship during his life is it?
Unless deciding which silver spoon to use for your cornflakes in the morning is now deemed a hard upbringing for kids!
Seriously though,
He will make more noise if he tried for the Olympics, lead to a bigger pro deal if he done well in Beijing(incidently, who would he have represented? The likes of James Degale on the British team are hardly cannon fodder and have had more fights than Eubank jnr has had training sessions!)and build up a bigger fanbase too.
I have no idea how good the lad is, and he may well be a quality prospect, but I hate the talk of "he could have gone to the Olympics if he wanted"
Talk is dirt cheap.
Prove it by beating top class fighters that have earnt their right to call themselves an Olympian.
You talk of it as it's something easy to achieve, when it most certainly isn't(especially if you are in the European zone of qualification)
he may be like that when he's in the gym, but the footage is there of him being a cock for the world to see. Seeing is believing.boxingchat wrote:Talking as someone who knows him personally and has seen him train and fight you have all got him very wrong. Wouldve been interesting to have him in the UK to see how good he is though.
he's the only fighter mccallum has been prepared to devout spare time to, so he can't be a bad kid. and can't be a bad prospect.
mccallum's acting almost like a mentor, giving him pep talks when he gets in trouble at school, and stuff.
eubank sr believes in mentorship because he had one when he went to new york. he thinks eubank jr's in safe hands with mccallum, though it's quite a responsibility for mccallum as well.

Good news - give the kid a break - f*ck me if all the lad is guilty of is having a scrap and putting it on youtube - with what is going on in the world so f*cking what?? - he is a young lad give him a break - ON THIS RARE OCCASION I AGREE WITH BOXING TW*Tboxingchat wrote:Talking as someone who knows him personally and has seen him train and fight you have all got him very wrong. Have got to say - with my warped sense of humour - I was shouting at the screen will someone hit the other - all the f*cking prancing around it looked like they were doing some rap dance with each other.

Spud, I'm shocked at you and some others on here seeking to defend that. Having that street fight up on YouTube as a bragging right is disgusting and the way the other 'jackals' all leap in when the lad is on the floor says it all about the mentality on display.Spud wrote:Good news - give the kid a break - f*ck me if all the lad is guilty of is having a scrap and putting it on youtube - with what is going on in the world so f*cking what?? - he is a young lad give him a break - ON THIS RARE OCCASION I AGREE WITH BOXING TW*Tboxingchat wrote:Talking as someone who knows him personally and has seen him train and fight you have all got him very wrong. If he wasn't the son of a famous boxer you'd be saying he was absolute scum and indicative of everything wrong with current society.

Deserter,
Your post deserves a reply.
I am not stating what the lad has done is right its not - and clearly he needs a quiet chat.
But for f*ck sake its not the crime of the century either is it - its wrong but all he has done is give a kicking to someone WHO WANTED TO DO THE SAME TO HIM!!! - have you never had a fight? - I bloody have and yeah lost a few as well - I have scrapped at football matches and done other things that are wrong as well.
But lets get all this into context in this politically correct gone f*cking mad world of ours!!!

I, for one, don't give a shit about the video. I care about stupidness like "he could've gone to the Olympics if he wanted to", as if it was a personal preference not to go.
And if Mike McCallum IS keeping him out of nationals because he thinks he's too good for them, then he is a bigger idiot than I first thought. This just seems to me like one big hype job posted by someone very close to Eubank Jr. Look at Crew2's posts, they all have Eubank in them pretty much.
Boxing is the only game in the world where the truth finds you out in the end. Whether Eubank Jr is as good as the hype would suggest, we'll all know sooner or later. Right now he is just a gym myth.

On the rare occasion I was involved in anything I certainly didn't feel proud of myself afterwards, let alone being so cocky about it that I upload it for the world to see and brag about it so blatantly. Sickening.
And as for crime of the century, we all know of cases where kicking someone in the head like that when they're down has led to brain damage, comas, death, etc... you can argue it was only luck that meant the kid didn't suffer lasting damage.

I remember being outside a nightclub where some stupid tw*ts came at me and some pals with a chain and a couple of basball bats - I was the unlucky f*cker who got the bloke with a chain - once he got a couple of lucky wraps - managed to get the f*cker and as the phrase goes once you get them on the floor don't let them up until you dragged off.
To ensure people do not twist this I want to write this - picking on innocent victims is completely wrong and inexcusable - as is picking on people who do not want any trouble or whatever - again I will state inexcusable and wrong
However if you turn up to an ORGANISED location for a scrap - take whats coming to you.
We'll never agree on this one. Just out of interest, would you have put the footage of you getting him up on your personal website for the years following the incident to prove your 'hardman' credentials?Spud wrote:B*llocks Deserter!!!Deserter wrote:Having a dust-up is one thing, stamping on the kids head while he's down and clearly done is another thing.Spud wrote:Deserter,

The answer to your question is Deserter no I wouldn't!!! - but the mentality of kids nowadays is that "Street Cred" and sh*t like that means he will - you politcally correct people change your tune when it suits you and you are right we will never agree on this mate.
I was taught to fight with my fists, bulbous head and feet and if necessary bite the f*kers - never used a weapon in my life.
And as for the example I told you - the lads took the p*ss anyhow for taking the wraps from the chain - it was outside a night club just outside our camp at Corsham - the local lads from Bath came up to give us a little fright - bloody hell that was all of 26 years ago when I was a spritely young 18 year old!!! - met my first wife at that club - she turned out to be a right bitch!!!
