RESULTS FROM 26TH APRIL 2008 AT ROBIN PARK ARENA

MARK THOMPSON – Won his first title with a first round KO of the normally durable Polish fighter Maurycy Gojko for the vacant Masters International Belt which was presented to him by his friend and training partner Jamie Moore. Mark next boxes in Portsmouth on the 15th June .

ALEX MATVIENKO - Continued his unbeaten run with a surprise stoppage of the solid Dean Cambell which came out of the blue in the 4th of what was developing into an interesting contest.

BRIAN ROSE – Bounced back from his draw in February with a points win over old for Ernie Smith .

JON KAYS – Impressed with a 60-54 shut out points win over Robin Deacon and did everything right but get the stoppage.

MIKE ROBINSON – An aggressive performance on his debut over Delroy Spencer earned a points victory in a good little scrap – Delroy choosing to stand and trade instead of getting on his bike did help make the fight.

CHRIS OBRIEN - The big ticket seller from Burnley made a nervous start to his pro career, but thoroughly deserved his points win over late substitute Russell Pearce who put up a great effort.

TAMEO DWYER - Gained a stoppage win on his debut over Senol Dervis who failed to come out for the third round .

ALAISTER MORRISON – Beat David Pearson in a good fight on points for a clean sweep of wins for the VIP fighters on the card.

LEE JENNINGS - Did not manage to get on as his opponent weighed in at 10st 7lb for a match made at 9st 9lb, will now make his debut on the 15th June in St Helens on a bill to be topped by local hero Martin Murray.

NEXT EVENT - Tickets are flying out for our next show on the 23rd May at Robin Park arena and can be purchased on http://www.vipbe.co.uk , a full card will be published next week but book early as this is a sure sell out.
