Top 10 most boring fighters on the world scene ?

So we're agreed it's pretty much every top fighter, cause all the exciting ones get knocked out sooner or later.

Top and bottom of it is that the way to stay at the top is to bore your way to points wins; the top fellas have good chins so while you're too busy trying to be exciting yourself they knock you out!

Calzaghe aside (although his excitablility factor is a point for debate in itself) my point still stands; those who have been around at World level longest aren't the exciting fighters. Most of those names are pretty new to being the top boy in their division (discounting DLH due to his massive weight fluctuations) and probably won't end up as the longest reigning.

I'd be interested to know pct stats for ko finishes in fights between top five fighters in any weight division.

Hatton isnt a boring fighter. He's come forward and on the attack non-stop, so how is he boring?
Calzaghe is an exceptionally talented counter puncher. A lot of his match-making throughout his career has been very bad, leading to mismatches. This doesnt make Joe a boring fighter per se.
Both Calzaghe and Hatton were nullified (more so Hatton) by all time defensive greats in their last fights, and again, this doesnt make them boring fighters

Yes he is and as said he is also more than Hatton recently, but this is what is wrong with Boxing today, it is not how good you are - it's how many tickets you sell!

I think Hopkins is te more neagtive fighter in Boxing today.

Mmm - Well, true but harsh. I mean I'm sure Mayweather would make Moore look dull also. Its all about the levels.

Not being harsh on Hatton. Given the levels the fights themselves from Jones III favour Jamie in my opinion. When the dust has settled I'll probably watch more of Hatton's pre-Kostya fights than recent ones.

First half against Urango aside.

I'm not too sure what you are comparing Hatton / Moore with - skill level performance, or value for money performance.

Okay, but I am sure Hatton would look impressive vs Barry Morrison.

If it is excitement what you mean then it is true what you are saying, you cannot fault Jamie for excitement, but you cannot really compare the levels and the opponent. In recent months/years - Hatton has fought two awkard customers (one of them highly skilled). All of which are a higher level than Jamie's opossition.

The Collazo fight was pretty exciting to watch.

We will, but just remember that Urango really should not have been the Champ. Maussa should never have been the champ.

witter has got to be up there.......and on the back of their snooze fest in 2005, Harrison and Williams have to stay on the list for a mandatory 10 years!!
