How can people moan about Britain's loser mentality when half of the posters on here spend all day slating Calzaghe and Hatton - who have one loss between them! In any other country they'd be lauded.
The same happened with Lewis and Naz....

Bottom line is, Kostya Tszyu was the then No2 P4P behind Hopkins when Hatton retired him.
He has also gone in with the likes of P4P no1 Floyd Mayweather...
..Hatton took the risks and went stateside too.
A lot of Calzaghe's critics have often asked the question: who's Joe fought who was either proven OR in his prime ?? certainly no P4P rankings in Kessler or Lacy..
Hopkins was certainly good enough to beat Calzaghe and won all the early rounds when they were both at their freshest - he was just too old to sustain anything. He was no longer the P4P no1 as he were 4+ years ago and had been beaten twice in his last 4 fights going into this.
And now Calzaghe would appear to do it again, with another faded 1990's star in his 40's in Roy Jones.
It's plainly obvious that he's only took very very calculated risks and that all the variables have been swerved in his favour like venue etc.
But thats the beauty/agony of the WBO - they just take whatever fight or sanctioning fee they can get their mitts on with little regard for classing fights and forcing mandatories of decent quality.
Wheras if we compare the last 2 years of David Haye we see a career that commands respect.
Hard Hard, EBU level opponents in tiny venues (Lassi, Fragomeni) and then destroying the ring champ in Mormeck in Paris and then answering all the critics in true style by banging out Maccaroni.
No shitty Bobby Gunns on prime time for Haye.
No tin pot Gary st Clairs or Manfrodo's.
He took his bumps and fought his risky fights in front of small crowds in leisure centres and the York Hall.
But he is raking in the cash... and more importantly, the respect.
Wheras calzaghe is just raking in the cash... and the criticism.
