“I don’t understand what the hold up is,” said Guzman, who is promoted by San Diego-based Sycuan Ringside Promotions. “Forget everything you’ve heard or read from Arthur and his promoter about me having visa problems. It’s all a smoke screen.

“The truth is, I received my visa on April 24 and was ready to travel to Scotland the next day. I was packed and ready to go. I was excited.

“I could have easily fought him on the original date (May 3). I don’t know why the fight needed a new date other than the fact that Arthur is flat-out scared of me. He was looking for an excuse to postpone this fight because he knew he was going to get destroyed and embarrassed in front of his hometown fans.

“This only makes me angrier. I want to get my fists on him now more than ever before. This guy is in for a real beating. He’s going to get scotch-taped like you wouldn’t believe.”

The visa issue wasn’t even a big deal,” Guzman said. “All the paperwork was in order. I’m convinced Arthur is afraid of me. If he really wanted the fight he would tell his promoter to get us a new, immediate date. It has been nearly a week and we haven’t heard a thing.”

While Guzman and his promoter admit that their visa paperwork wasn't in order, it seems that SN might have been given just the excuse they needed to put this off a little longer - talk aside, they must know AA was in for a very probable beating here.
Chances are, Guzman might just lose interest and move up to 135...

And it's telling that a certain SN employee, says on this forum that the fight has to happen, and if it doesn't, its because arthur doesn't have the belief that he can win this bout

Arthur's world class but not on the elite world class like Marquez and Guzman.

Arthur would beat Baloyi and whatever African the IBF title might go to next. Valero Vs Arthur would be good, but that guy could be an accident waiting to happen since he failed an MRI due to a motorbike accident he had before being a pro.

I've not seen Valero. Judging by his record, he can obviously bang - but it'll be interesting to see if he can take that up to real world class.

Anyone actually seen footage of him?

I've seen half a dozen or so of Valero's fights. His power is for real. When he hits a guy, they know about it. Truly sickening power. People talked about the likes of Lacy as a big hitter. Valero makes Lacy look like Malignaggi.

arthur has had amanufactured career,he is no where near world class

Yeah, I think Valero is a very big hitter for his division. He's a dangerous fight for anyone.

Absolutely pulverizing puncher, in either hand. Probably the hardest P4P puncher out there.
Showed he can take it, as well as dish it out, when he won the title in the fight of the year - which is rare for a real KO artist.
He'd knockout AA inside a round.

Valero/Guzman/Pacman - 3 superfights I really hope to see.

First world class fighter he fought took his 10 rounds, the rest are Japanese/Mexican level fighters though.
