Got stopped on his feet but didn't protest
When I first saw Big John on TV, I really thought he could do something if he started living the life and got in shape. He could have probably made cruiserweight and rocked the boat on the British scene. When he first started he seemed to have good potential with a decent foundation. Obviously never world title potential, but certainly could have done very nicely in domestic realms.
Shame he didn't want it enough.

Heres the fight...
In my opinion - there have been lots of good heavyweights who don't look like Schwartzenegger - Tim Witherspoon was flabby but he could fight - Mark Gastineau was a body beautiful and couldn't.
My favourite fat heavyweight was Alvin Manley - he was quick with fast hands but he looked obese!
