Anyone tried Prizefighter yet (Benn, Eubank)

Post by Haggath »

Don King's new video game

Apparently you can unlock their rematch if you get so far on career mode

Cut scenes in a boxing game that's not based on the Rocky movies? Tell us more.

Seymour: As you progress through your career you unlock real fight footage from Don King's vast library.

Nigel Benn vs. Chris Eubank judgement day rematch - you'll see that; Ken Norton vs. Larry Holmes in 1978. You'll see interview with Joe Calzaghe, Samuel Peter, Larry Holmes, Ken Norton, Ken Norton talking about fighting Larry Holmes, Larry Holmes talking about fighting Ken Norton... so there's lots of rich stuff to look at, especially for boxing fans.

You can unlock classic boxers like Benn, Eubank, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis, Archie Moore

Awesome

If anyone's tried it yet does Benn have his launching style and Eubank his low hands posturing style

Next year according to EA. They're bringing out an arcadey boxing game later this year.

Fight Night sold too many units (3,000,000, I think) for them to ignore it.

I must say that this Don King game is sounding pretty damned good.

The EA games have gone backwards for me, the last really good one was the 2001 game.

I may have to buy a console just to get this ( and possibly GTA).

Shame none of these games make it to PC now. I always though the combination of a mouse and keyboard would have been a good control system for a boxing game.

I got the one with Lennox on the front??

Was class, you could basically hit low loads without being DQ'd then the KO came easier!!

A Champ Manager type game for boxing would be the nuts. Build a stable, take on the promoters etc etc

Classic!

There's already a boxing manager game for the PC. I think the Lewis game was Knockout Kings 2001 for the PS2.

James, GTA 4 is coming out for the PC, but not for a while yet.

Is your 360 chipped (or flashed as it is) and if so can you still go live?

Actually, good point. I don't think you can if it's chipped. I have a spare 48 hour XBOX LIVE code if you want to give it a go?

That way it won't cost you anything to see.

CAT5 from router/modem to XBOX or wireless network adaptor from XBOX to wireless router.

PM me if you want the code and I'll dig it out at the weekend.

Yes please mate... I'll give t a go. Asked my mate last ngiht and (apparently) I need another chip which will ghost the flashed games etc... so i dont get kicked off, however, I'll try it with the free code if you can find it (dont go out yer way to though!).

Is it £50 a year, and thats it? Or is there a Setnta-esque connection fee too?
