How some of the dimwits in here can believe the crap he comes out with is hilarious.
Boxbuzz actually thinks granberry-terap is some famous boxing personality visiting us incognito. Poor Buzz.
Florence 'terap' Nightingale, the orange juice lady.
Poor Collins....see how he foolishly under rates the hydration quality of orange juice? Collins and his lack of understanding of this vital elixir is destroying boxrec.
No one underestimates the recuperative powers of sugar drinks. (Fructose is a sugar, btw)
The way you carried on it was like granberry-terap had discovered this himself. I thought you were gonna cum with excitement the way you gushed over that post.

How's that for starters?
Now, how about the names of those commissions that banned Jimmy Eliis when he was legally blind . . .
And when did I suggest that Ali-Ellis was a thrilling event?
Jack Dempsey gave me over an hour of his time.
So did Joe Louis.
We were talking about specific techniques of boxing.
About specifics to do with their own fights.
Louis was so interested when I told him about my long discussion with Dempsey about such specifics that he actually started grilling me, with great interest, about what Dempsey said.
I am sure Sean O'Grady was a nice kid and I know that Ken Norton was actually intelligent (not about boxing) but I would have no interest in talking about boxing techniques with fighters on their level.
I'll stick with what I learned from Dempsey, Louis, Harold Johnson, Georgie Benton, Wesley Mouzon, Holly Mims, Lee Halfpenny, Bob Brown, etc etc.
i'm sure the pleasure was all theirs. he probably just visited their graves and talked to them. btw, what kind of retard takes orange juice to the fights and bestows them to the fighters he feels that are worthy? what a pompous ass.
Don't worry, bjermaine. He didn't actually do that. It's just something he made up for Boxbuzz and the other more gullible posters.

How's the holiday?
The venomous snake Collins seeks to change the subject in order to hide his misunderstanding of OJ. Collins never has and never will post a clear statement on the importance of hydration or properly credit the man who discovered these miraculous qualities.

Ellis wasn't blind. But he had bad eyes.
Yeah, but you wrote he was legally blind. You said he was declared "legally blind in a number of states, which refused him a boxing license for that reason." Which states and when? Inquiring minds want to know.
I'll also repeat my original question: How many corners have you worked? (Remember, passing out orange juice doesn't count. I was the milk monitor in kindergarden, but that didn't make me a dairy farmer.)
And, since you asked me (and I answered you), I'll ask you: How many professional fights have you had?
granberry wrote:When ray and Frank show up, collins is not far behind.
Because ray and Frank have such low mentalities that they need collins, the poisononous feminine snake of boxrec, to tell them where to post.
Then collins and his alias irene show up.
collins has never made a post on the subject of boxing--and he never will.
When collins jerks on the ring through their noses, ray and Frank come running.
I only came to this thread to laugh at the resident clown who is always good for a laughed.
One thing about some of us, including Collins is that we don't claim to be something we are not, its easy to drop names and claim you're some kind of boxing expert when all you post here is what you read in the Ring magazine, tell us who you are, if you're some big boxing man, then I must know you, as I just about know all the top boxing men, reading your stuff I think that you're no more then a kid trying to B-S your way through here, but I have to give you your due's, as you have pull the wool over some of the guys here, but not me, as I have been around to long to be B-S by a phony.
You don't go around giving orange juice and anything else for that matter to other people's fighters, I think thats the point that needs to be made here.
I never came across a fighter after a fight who didn't take it when I offered it and start drinking it immediately.
One night at the Spectrum I gave my last carton to Ted Mann, who had lost to an old Bennie Briscoe, finding out in the process that he was too slow to make it against top level fighters (even as old as Briscoe.)
I saw Briscoe a little later and told him I had just given my last carton of orange juice to his opponent, Ted Mann, because he needed it more than Briscoe did . Briscoe said, "I know. I know. I can believe it."
What were your thoughts or how was this bout interupted ?
I know in the past with other HW, they had faced 'friends' and sparring partners in higher profile bouts.
Dempsey-Darcy as an example.
Did the media blast this bout?
Thanks again
Hi Robinson:
Personally, I wouldn't call Dempsey-Darcy a high profile bout. It came off when the NYSAC required (1) that Dempsey box only one opponent that night instead of the three scheduled opponents, and (2) that the bout go to a decision instead of as an exhibition.
Regarding Ellis-Ali, I don't remember too much specifically about the media coverage leading up to the fight, but I certainly don't recall the media "blasting" the match. (Not saying it didn't happen; just that I don't remember it.)

Robby,
I was around at that time, but I can't tell you much about any Ali fight, I just didn't like to watch him fight, I seen the Archie Moore and Alejandro Lavorante fights live only because I was given free tickets, if not for that I would had stay home.

You will never know, ray.
granberry-terap, you have had NO fights and you have NEVER worked a corner and you NEVER will.
You total involvement with boxing is reading mags and then coming in here with fantasies you have woven around the latest names you have read about.
We all like to hear your tales, though only gullible fellows like Boxbuzz believe any of them.
I'm glad to see you've toned down the racial element in your posts since you were warned.
Collins, that's not fair. It sounds like he did get involved in the game as the orange juice monitor at the fights in Philly.
granberry wrote:For several years before this Ellis was considered legally blind in a number of states, which refused him a boxing license for that reason.
Once he got in this condition he had spent years around Ali's training camp as a 'sparring partner'.
This fight was garbage as Ellis was a wreck and had been for some time.
Herbert Muhammed was always Ali's manger once the muslims took him over.
Dundee was a cornerman and nothing more with Ali once the muslims took him over.
Ellis won the next eight fights after the Ali fight by KO before being Koed himself by Earnie Shavers in 1973 in Madison Square Garden. seems New York had no problem with Jimmy's eyesight.

omg! i can't let this one go either. granberry is above talking to ken norton, who is in the hall of fame, about boxing technique. that's an important mother f'er.

I am waiting for Frank to get castigated by buzz, collins, and company for not groveling for their Ali.
Should he get banned from boxrec for having the nerve to post that ?
I AM WAITING for collins, buzz and company to pile on him wildly for saying that.
LOL
Where are you, Ali lovers?
Frank is a real boxing guy and a gentleman. He will NEVER be castigated in here by any of the normal people.
Nutters like you though, OJ, are a different matter entirely.

Granberry, you coward, answer the following questions in your next reply:
1) How many corners have you worked?
2) How many professional fights have you had?
3) How many amateur fights have you had?
answer the questions graberry....just answer the questions.....we all want to hear the answers....
You take us all to task regularly for being "know nothings" as if by simply being a presence here we should all humbly bow to your excellency. I am a boxing fan, one of millions. As you have mentioned ad nauseum, I have not been a pro fighter and the amount I do not know could fill volumes. I've never really argued about that with you. But do you know that the pro's I have met in my life have given me much more respect for my opinions than you have? Joe Frazier listened patiently to my opinions and even once said to me as he shook his head....."Well Buzz that's your opinion". And then did NOT let go of a left hook in my direction. I felt very validated hearing that from him.
So...I feel that this means you must be very very important and highly placed in the food chain of boxing. I've told others "be easy on the granner because he is probably very important". So...reveal who you are so that when we are all told how foolish our opinions are we can be assured that it is a fact.....and not just some hateful tripe coming from some "know nothing" who wanders these halls.
Otherwise I will have no choice but to beleive that you somehow climbed over the fence, never paid your entrance fees and are simply impersonating a major boxing personality.
Granberry - I would still like to know in which States Ellis was considered legally blind? because even after the Ali fight Ellis boxed in Washington, Florida, Ohio, West Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland and even Madison Square Garden, New York!

collins with his alias irene and many others, enabled by so called 'moderator' buzz, works rabidly to drive anyone off boxrec who sees media created fraud Ali as anything less than the greatest of all time.
Why is this crew so inconsistent in this one instance?
They usually pile on with their juvenile ad hominem attacks the moment a poster does anything less than grovel for Ali.
Frank said he doesn't like Ali and never watched him.
Where are the rabid boxrec attackers who try to wipe out and ban anyone who doesn't bow to their Ali?
OJ, why am I not surprised that you can see no difference between what you wrote about Ali (and his fans) and what Frank wrote...
Remember that Granberry is the man who said that if a southpaw threw a right rook, he'd punch himself in the face..
Poor knucklez is so confused he doesn’t know the difference between the right arm and the left arm.
I am very sorry to inform knucklez that the ability to differentiate between the right and the left is fundamental to comprehending boxing.
Knucklez, with his unablility to tell the difference between right and the left has NO hope when it comes to the slightest possibility of comprehending the subject of boxing.
A southpaw in a southpaw stance attempting to throw a LEFT hook would hit himself on the chin.
Poor knucklez can’t even differentiate between the right and the left
