McKart-Marquez Decision Should Be A Draw

Errors were discovered in the transcribing of two of the judges' scoring from their scorecards to the summary sheets.

Rather than a 96-95, 95-96, 97-93 split decision for Raul Marquez, the outcome of Marquez' 3/29/08 bout with Bronco McKart should have been a majority draw: 95-95, 95-95, 97-93.

I think this is a story to follow because a change in the official decision may be forthcoming.

The decision was changed yesterday. BoxRec has already updated the fighters' records but does not have one of the scores right. You have the correct totals for Merritt's and Cunningham's scores but Paige's should be 95-95.
