Rhodes v Dixon 12-03-04

Everyone who knows me obviously is aware of my totally unbiased opinion on this one !
I think this is a good match up - with the fight set at 11st 4lbs.
Rhodes is unbeaten at Light Middleweight, and despite reservations he could not get down to the weight, I'm totally confident.
How do you see the fight going ?
Stoppage victory for Rhodes inside six is my forecast.

Didn't darren get a draw with dixon in Huddersfield? I think it depends on what Ryan has got left, he's certainly got the power and abillity for an early night. But how mutch desire is left??? :(

Yes, Dixon's form hasn't been bad of late, so this is an interesting match. But Rhodes is hitting hard again and his greater natural strength should hold the sway. Body shots could be the Scot's undoing.

where has rhodes been these last few years. i remember those spice boy days

quickest lonsdale belt winner ever and then he bumped into otis grant :( and a couple of years later was flattened by jason matthews and then nothing

I think Bennie has hit the key to this fight.
I think Rhodes will pound hard to the body.
Jacko has been very forthright in his positive comments following Rhodes last fight with him, and I do believe Jacko showed more spirit against some really hard shots than Dixon may show, particularly to the body.
It's a crossroads fight for both, so a good match up all round for the punter.
To clear everything up it is Ryan Rhodes, and is a Hennessey Promotion, on the undercard of Froch v TBA.

if the fight is at 11st 4 then i would favour Rhodes... is that day before weight or on the night weight...

Scott wont be anymore than 11 6 for the i am sure... Rhodes will probably be quite a bit heavier on the night.

Good question and a good point about the fight. I tip Ryan here quite strongly, I don't think Dixon has got enough tools to really scare Ryan. He's a good all rounder, but doesn't do anything special.

I still believe Ryan should be a middle though.

Moore pulled out with a wrist injury.

it was meant to be rescheduled?? april 10th on Brodie v Chi undercard.

I guess it got cancelled cause Scott wouldnt take this fight instead of a British Title fight...

Strange for Dixon to take Ryan in a warm up to the british? I posted on eastside earlier and said about Dixon losing every round to Marcus Portman who is SOUTHPAW and a NON PUNCHER,Ryan is soputhpaw as we know but can bang gonna be intresting

He has been training hard and wants to fight...

So he has gone with Hennesey rather than Gilmore.

no problem, just to clarify Scott isnt fed up with Moore, an injury is terrible for any athlete, but he needs to fight
