Would folks please double-check the Dec. 7, 1928 Dave Shade-Arthur Flynn bout? BoxRec has it occurring in Chicago; I have a contemporary newspaper article saying it was held in Boston.

Take the newspaper, but make a note of the location change, since the paper could have been wrong. The 1969 RRB version was overhauled in like the 1982 or 83 Book, so it's not that credible.

Another one: we have a Shade W-10 Leo Mitchell July 5, 1929 @ Long Beach, NY. I saw a contemporary newspaper article saying it was an eight-rounder that occurred July 12 @ Long Beach Stadium. Should I change it, or shall we get a second opinion first?

BTW: I think I'm getting carple-tunnel syndrome by constantly typing "contemporary newspaper account/article" in my countless queries. :; So, because I have been diligently reading newspaper microfilm for some months now, I believe I should be able to use shorthand.

So, for now on, my shorthand for citing contemporary newspaper sources/contemporary newspaper accounts in my queries shall be "CNA." :razz:
