Apparently, he asked Guest of Honour Ken Buchanan a question about how much he weighed in between fights, admitting that he himself walked around at way over 11 stone (for those who don't know, Portman is a welter).
Anyway, the event was full of old farts from the Board, and the next day Dave Bradley allegedly got a call from the Board demanding to know why Portman weighed so heavy in between fights?
