FIghts such as "Hatton v Lazcano"

I was wondering, with fights such as "Hatton v Lazcano", their generally seen as "Tune-ups" or "Come back fights" Where a tomato Can is selected etc.

But im wondering, do guys like Lazcano actually come to Win?

Don't get me wrong, may sound like a stupid question, but i get the feeling fighters like Lazcano show up for the Pay Day, or opportunity to fight someone Big, to get him more big fights int he Future.

Do fighters like Lazcano go out to Try and Win as if it was a normal Match Up, or just act as a Higher Level "Sparring Partner".

Maybe, maybe not. Some fighters may feel overawed, know they're in over their head and look for damage limitation. Especially an old ex-lightweight who has had some poor performances, wasnt the same after Castillo, has only fought 2 times in 2 year and may not be loving the sport anymore. On another note, maybe Lazcanno will see this as 1 lost big opportunity and be in the best form of his life

Lazcano should still be grateful for getting the gift vs Garnica.
Lazcano does not deserve to be getting this payday, and Hatton shouldnt be kidding people with fighting sub-world class opponents.

To be great you have to fight and beat great fighters. Lazcano is not a great fighter.

Hatton will probably look ugly even against Lazcano because he uses not much proper boxing ability. Look how he let Maussa easily butt him and hit him a few times.

Charge for DLH or Hatton? HBO apparently wern't Interested In Hatton Vs Lazcano according to Americans on ESB anyway.

Maybe - but WE would have still got it for free - we get 99% of the PPV cards for free.

I wonder if the people in the states on Versus (or whatever the channel is ?) are PAYING for Hatton Vs Lazcano?

maussa was a lot more wild and unorthodox than lazcano.

lazcano will put up a decent fight.

hatton will score with the better punches throughout though.

Forbes looked good against DHOPs though, doesnt really look the business at the weigh in for this Hoya fight, but who knows maybe he'll catch an old oscar sleeping, although oscar looks in bloody good shape and serious

From what I have seen, Foirbes woikd beat HATTON in a fight.

Do you think Hatton would last the distance against DLH at 150?

Forbes stepped up to 150 and fought well - DLH would knock out Hatton at 150 - or any weight!

Nobody would have a problem with fights like this if guys who've made it to the top like Hatton were fighting more than once or twice a year. But the more often you fight the more likely you are to pick up a loss I guess. If this wasn't ppv and if Hatton was fighting again next month nobody would mind.
Not trying to pick on Hatton alone, this is the case across the board with the top guys. I guess they earn too much too, the same thing that fucked up football really.

I wont buy the event. Hatton should win without too much trouble. Lazcano will come to win but I dont think he has enough to beat Hatton. Hatton back winning is the purpose of this fight, whereas Malignaggi is much stronger opposition.

PPV is a piss take with saying its a payback fight for Hattons loyal fans. Bollocks, Hatton and his people want top dollar again.
