Vic is fab to watch plus he is a dangerous skillful fighter.
Khan cant math him.

He looked good, picked his shots well, and was patient.... had a look of composure about him

That straight right that put him down was just a flash KD and didn't appear to hurt him.... regrouped well, and boxed sensibly. Looks a good prospect.

Ortiz looks a more solid fighter. Khan gets hit way to much.

Ortiz is too big and strong for Khan. I'd doubt they'd meet as he looks more like a natural 154 to me.

I could be mistaken, but I think Khan met Ortiz in a junior Olympic tournament, back in 2003, and Khan won in the first round. Don't know about the other time they met.

Obviously, it's only juniors, but as it was the year before the senior Olympics, it may not be as misleading as it seems. I believe they're the same age.

yes they met in 2003, Khan won in the 2nd round. It was the Gold medal fight at the International Junior Olympic Tournament.

Interesting to see those amateur results Khan has over Ortiz - shows just what a top prospect Khan is, even with the chin doubts.

Watching Ortiz, I got the impression he looked the better bet - got up from the knockdown well, and while Dairo Esalas' record looks poor, I did notice he had something like 24 KO's in 30 wins - a good puncher you'd think, so the Ortiz camp are certainly matching him a hell of a lot more ambitiously than Khan.
And Maussa last time out....can you imagine FW putting Khan anywhere near fighters like that just now?

Ortiz looked excellent, and it's great to see Khan has that win over him - just proves how good he might turn out.

BBC sport has it that Khan is fighting Michael Gomez on 21st June in Birmingham.
The Gomez of a few years ago would have been a very risky fight for Khan, prob not now
