Would someone please double-check the Oct. 22, 1925 Stribling-Tom McKiernan bout? We presently have it occurring @ Columbus, Georgia. I saw a contemporary newspaper article today that says it was @ Columbia, South Carolina. Ric

The World Almanac also gives it as Columbus S.C, so why don't you change it Ric. Colin.

I noticed that I was the one who entered the bout in question. It came from the CBZ record for Stribling, but I haven't tracked down a newspaper report, so I'd say just go with what you know.

Barry, or someone else. Could you double-check and confirm the date of Strib's Sept. 1928 bout with Frankie Wine? I have a Sept. 22 newspaper account that implies it occurred the night before, on the 21st. BoxRec has it as Sept. 20. This paper may have been a day late in reporting this bout.
