Featherweights: Eder Jofre vs Wilfredo Gomez

Post by elmersalsa »

BOTH of them are considered as the greatest fighters of their respective countries. Eder Jofre for Brazil and Wilfredo Gomez for Puerto Rico.

The greatest bantamweight fighter ever against the greatest super bantamweight ever at 126 pounds...Who wins?

Would have been an amazing fight. Bazooka Gomez wasn't as devastating a hitter at 126 as he was at 122. I'd go with Jofre by KO in rounds 12-14 if it's 15 rounds and Gomez by split decision if it's 12.

At 122-126,I have to go with Gomez, Eder Jofre imo was second only to Manuel Ortiz as a bantam, Gomez was a great fighter at 122, he would be to big for Jofre at 122-126.

Wow this one would have been a one for the ages. Gomez brutal punching power would be the decideing factor in the fight. Jofre as great as he was would just be too small for Gomez.

Gomez by TKO late in the fight.
