Mudine Solimon undercard

Post by Grant »

Forget the Mundine 'Clash' with Solimon, I think the Lovett, Crazy Kim fight will be worth watching. I'd be happy to pay 20 bucks for the card up to and including that fight and then have the telecast switch off.

Only the three top fights have the opponents listed. Any clues as to who the others are fighting?

They're still shopping for opponents.

See that Ahmed Elomar is on the card after a break of about two years. Didn't he have some trouble with a shonky Lebanese Government?

Yes, he had an exciting time over there and was roughed up by the local authorities. Having an Aussie passport may have been of some assistance. Here is a press report of the fun and games:

Lebanon is like a lot of countries that are using GW Bush's 'War on Terror"as an excuse to persecute people for their own purposes.

Getting back to boxers without opponents on the card, they have light heavyweights Daniel Baff and Kerry Foley without opponents. They seem evenly matched, why not have them fight each other?

Kazzi fights Damien Smith 12 days before that fight. Although he should win it, Smith is the only boxer to have beaten him. The promoter may be waiting to see how it turns out. I am surprised he is having two fights in such a short time.

O.K., so now we have Kazzi (10-1) fighting 37 year old Fijian Paula TUILAU (14-18-10) and Foley (6-0) fighting Peter Rudd (4-8-2).

Baff and Elomar are both beating up on TBA.

Elomar is fighting Lenny Zappavigna's punching bag Ariel Omongos. Gee, what a surprise. :x

Biff Baff appears to be pulled from the card entirely now... guess he couldnt find a fight, but its a shame because i wouldnt have minded watching him if they had found someone decent

It seems Lovett v Crazy Kim is off, a shame as this was the best fight on the card.Porky looks like fighting tough Kane McKay. Kane is great value but Crazy would have been the step up for Porky that fans were looking for
