The spread is good (http://www.sportingindex.com) but can be volatile and you need to know what you are doing.

The 'in-running' odds were offered by bet365.com. I suppose they'll do it again, but only for the big fights. Bet365.com have a pretty good selection, though betfair (a betting exchange) has far more. Skybet offer odds on the Sky fights of course and, to be honest, betting on boxing is largely limited to Sky fights and the big American ones.
I like thegreek.com because you get under and over odds, in which you bet on a fight lasting beyond a set number of rounds or before it. That way you don't have to pick a winner. But they don't have many British fights on there.
I would recommend betfair for the sheer number of fights you can back or lay, but I personally don't understand their digital odds. If anyone can explain their odds to me, it would be appreciated.

Decimal odds include your stake to one unit.

2.00 is even money, 1.80 4/5, 67.00 is 66/1.

Don't use the exchanges but might have to take the plunge.

Yes, bet on the favourites. You'll need to stick more down to make it more worthwhile (only bet what you can afford to lose), but it's the only way to beat the bookies really. I stuck the £50 I made on Danny Hunt's win over Anthony Maynard on Dazzo Williams on Skybet at 7/4 over the weekend, and made £30. Now I might stick the whole lot on Scott Harrison. Can't see Estrada winning whatsoever.
Murphy would also be a good bet after what knockout said yesterday. Inside information like that (Murphy's been looking good in sparring at Peacock) means you won't be betting blind.
