People make me laugh!!! - all too quick to yet again make things personal with me - but yet I am not allowed the right to reply - double standards spring to mind!!!

Again I would like to emphasise and perhaps to a point agree with "Observer" - He states or insuate that I have got personal towards Khan as I am "paly" with Oliver Harrison - he is completely correct there is no point me avoiding that issue. What would you do if someone was very good to you and you found out from an entirely neutral source that someone you regarded very highly had in your opinion been right royally shafted!!!

I really wanted Amir Khan to do well - yep for the sake of the sport the likes of Khan doing well would give it an even bigger lift - but Oliver Harrison has not got a bad bone in his body and I have no problems in stating I regard him highly and as such you are dam right it rapidly changes my view on wanting Amir Khan to do well.

Tell me something Forum - lets get controversial now - If Amir Khan loves the UK so much and all the b*llocks thus far in his career is not just empty propaganda and he loves the UK so much - why does he have to turn to another country to find a trainer to get him where he wants - its him that has turned on the patriotism tap to get the fans and media on side - now suddenly the UK and its trainers may not be good enough for Amir!!! - why not Amir??

From a complete and utter outsider's viewpoint... I don't think Khan has quite developed the way I predicted he would. He certainly has defensive flaws that have yet to have been ironed out, and the way he leaps in his attacks is asking for trouble also.

Yes, he might have dumped him badly - I DON'T KNOW - And personally, I don't think anyone else knows regardless of how "neutral" the source is. However, this is not a Naseem Hamed / Brendan Ingle scenerio. Harrison didn't train Amir since the age of 9, and he didn't train him to the standard in which many people deemed him unbeatable. Harrison trained a SENSATIONAL talent, 3 years ago... and really his improvement hasn't been that noticeable.

I don't think Khan has developed the way he should, now whether that is Harrison's fault or not is an ENTIRELY different matter, but obviously Khan feels it is - and its better to change now BEFORE stepping into world class, then to get exposed.... which many people think will happen the way Khan is currently fighting.

In my opinion Team Khan should learn how to treat people properly - then perhaps they would gain the respect they think they already have and in my opinion take for granted!!!

Oliver Harrison seemed to be a smashing bloke, not one to try to hog the limelight or take anything away from Amir. The way he has been treated yb team Khan is a disgrace.

Nationality doesn't really matter for me, I appreciate good skills regardless of nationality. If Hatton fought DLH, now I am a big fan of Ricky seems like a good bloke to out on the town with and we share a similar sence of humour - but I have to say... I'd go to that fight, to watch the skills of DLH. Yeah, if Hatton pulled of an upset (and deserved to) - I wouldn't say "oh I am gutted"... but similarly I would feel the same if DLH won.

Ever since Khan got back from the Olympics people on this site have been wanting him to lose. Very strange. Then a few had to admit they were wrong when his progress and improvements became a little more apparent. He's a young lad with lots of ambition. He shows respect in interviews and yes, he believes he can beat the best, which is good! This is boxing and confidence is everything. There are many boxers who go further than KHan's stance and denegrate other fighters without good reason - look at Bernard Hopkins. Khan has talent, speed, growing power, enthusiasm. So I really cannot agree with the various criticisms on this site, other than those levelled at his manager's occasional choice of opponent. He does need stretching a little more. But on balance, I think Warren has provided him with a good platform for him to improve and grow. The big fights will come, but he is still learning.

As for getting rid of Harrison, well good on him if he feels there is a coach out there who can bring something new to his skills set. There is no harm in changing trainer as long as the new trainer is a good one, someone who has perhaps more scope for development than the previous one. We'll have to wait and see...

Here's a little revelation for you - I was approached by a Regimental Sergeant Major in the last couple of weeks of a certain camp to attempt to invite some professional boxers to a major army charity boxing dinner evening - one of the very first boxers who was thought of by me was Amir Khan and it was me who made an approach - that is despite having numerous contacts and other boxers indicating in the past they would gladly come to such an event!!! 4 of them being world or ex world champions!!!

If the truth be known - once I heard how Oliver Harrison had been treated I informed that particular Regimental Sergeant Major that I would not be involved in the event if Amir Khan still came because a person who I regard as a friend had in my opinion not been treated in the way I liked - FACT!!!!

The only thing I can be accused of and it being fact is that I am highly upset and angered the way I feel Oliver Harrison has been treated!!!
