FROCH GETS ANOTHER NEW OPPONENT

Post by GlobalBox »

Guys Its all change again for this bill

Williams is out and Froch now fighting Albert Rybacki - not going to pass comment on the opponent, its dreadful bad luck for Hennessy and Froch.

Incase anyone is interested.. don't know if this is true but if so appeas that Hennesy has had awful luck with his first ITV date one starts to wonder if the face of a certain rival promoter is somewhere in the background trying to ruin Mick's big day!! am I a bit of a conspirecy theorist!

For fcuk's sake this really puts me off buying tickets in advance now. Travelling from Southampton for this and now what for? Was at the start shaping up to be the bill of the year, not now!

I can play dot-to-dot and believe some sort of Warren-Universum-WBO tomfoolery. But I can't really find the link with Rubin Williams, at all.

Yeh but he could be made an offer he couldn't refuse!! Not uncommon/impossible. Looking at his last match he just won't know what to do at this level.

Its a real shame but thank god Witter is on the card!

Its a shame whats happened to the bill but still worth the money IMO. Witter fight should be a good one and a card that has Froch, Murray, Siddique and Amar isn't that bad really its just disapointing to what it could of been. :TU:

I think there's a limit to which even Warren's tendrils of rotting ectopasm can stretch.

That said, Williams' "personal problems" came on a bit soon. He seemed to really fancy this one. Did he forget that his tub of KY was running low or run out of Viagra Pro, or is there much more to it??

considering that mick was restricted, due to time constraints, to pull a fighter from europe only, then he has not done bad at the 11th hour, this fella is unbeaten, has outpointed hussein osman and ko'd tony dodson, so he is not completely garbage, but its important the cobra get a workout after many months of training.

Saw the Dodson fight and he looked good to be fair to him but we saw what Froch did to Dodson so its hard to recommend him on that but he has the basics, his hands can be lowish at times but presumably he won't do that against Froch.

Its hard to know what they want here, on paper its Froch in say 4 or 5 rounds after breaking the Pole down.

But will he have to look spectacular and blast him away so ITV at least get a knockout for there money or will he have to carry him a few rounds so he is showcased, not sure what to expect other than the win.

Think I will stick with Froch in 4

I smell a rat!!! - not in Hennessy's direction though!!!

I have got to say Mick has had some bad luck here - I remain convinced things have worked against him here!!!

Just an opinion - People should allow Hennessy to simply get on with it - regardless of my own personal thoughts and my disagreement I had with Mick a few years back - he is a good promoter in fact a very good promoter.

Keep saying it and people think I am wrong - boxing politics and sh*t going on behind the scenes makes a bigger percentage than the actual fight itself!!!

I will state again - people should allow Hennessy to get on with it - he is good for the sport.

I think there's an unhealthy dose of bad luck and 1 or 2 big players - how shall I put it? - not wanting him to do well.

I started to wonder after Berrio changed his mind. Not that I have any idea which rival promoter you'd be talking about, but I'd heard that there was this promoter who'd hired out the MEN on the night that Hatton wanted it, just out of spite.

It dont take a rocket scientist to work out what is going on does it ?

There are some big TV deals going down in boxing at the moment and someone is trying to sink the other's credibility.

Is there any truth in the rumour that the Nottingham Arena has been deemed unsafe for use and must be demolished by controlled explosion on Friday morning?

I guess a bill with a [real] world title fight, an eliminator for a world title and a massive demestic contest could give Hennessy the clame of being the biggest promoter in the UK! Still at least the Witter fight goes ahead and as has been mentioned for a replacement the other guy doesn't have to get over jet lag (a la vince phillips) is undefeated and has beaten some names we recognise (ie dodson) so is to be commended.

I don't know how boxing works but do fighters have to pay compensation for pulling out of shows?
