Jordan can make it and win at 201, but Paul Koon defeated Tyrell Wright so Wright won't be his opponent. It would have to be Paul Koon or Jeremiah Graziano. First Jordan has to defeat Craig Lewis. These are good semi-final bouts and so will the final bout.

152 has been real entertaining this year i think it will be the 2 NY guys nick brinson syracuse vs steven martinez NY metro in the finals that would be a very entertaining bout both these guys dont know how to take a step backwards and both come to fight. Unless these guys are drawn to fight eachother tommarow.

106: Louie Byrd vs. Malcolm Franklin. This should be a good bout. I will go with Byrd.
112: Daniel Lozano vs. Jorge Abiague. Lozano.
119: Roman Morales vs. Ernesto Garza. Garza. He has been using his power at his new lower weight class of 119. He did well at 125, but is hurting all of his opponents now.
125: Keenan Smith vs. Ryan Kielczweski. This will a close one, but I think Kielczeski will edge out the win.
132: Michael Perez vs. Duran Caferro Jr. Tough matchup. They both were impressive in their semi-final victories over very good opposition. It is a difficult one to pick, but I'll go with Caferro.
141: Daniel O'Connor vs. Joseph Elegele. C'Connor.
152: Steven Martinez vs. Sammy Vasquez. Vasquez has been very impressive. If he isn't injured or too banged up from his last 2 bouts, he will win it tonight.
165: Aleem Whitfield vs. Denis Douglin. Tough pick. I'll go with Douglin.
178: Azea Augustama vs. Geremias Torres. Augustama is the real deal. He will compete well in Beijing.
201: Craig Lewis vs. Paul Koon. This should be a good bout. Koon beat Graziano who beat Lewis (in March '08). However, Lewis beat Shimmell (my son) who beat Koon (in '06 NGG). I think Koon will edge out Lewis.
201+: Tor Hamer vs. Andrae Cathron. Hamer wins.

Alot of good talent in this year's GG. Weight classes I know will take it to the end.

106 - Byrd is the complete package, good overall.

112- I'm going with Abiague. Lozano is not making much improvements. Does have power, but not enough for Abiague.

119 - Garza is too strong for anyone in this weight class.

125 - Kielczweski will outwork Smith.

132 - This may be the best bout of the entire tournament. I have to go with Caferro.

141 - The New England kid O'Connor is too sharp for the Florida kid. I watched him last night. Florida kid is always off balance and too tight, and drops his hands constantly. O'Connor is too slick, too smart and too sharp for anyone in this class. I'm going with the New England winning 5-0 decision, or perhaps a stoppage.

152 - Vasquez is an impressive boxer. He'll win this tournament because of his mental focus and his ability to out work his opponents.

165 - This is a touch on becuase of Douglin's experience. Douglin fades at the end, if he does not have any juice for this final bout, watch for Whitfield to win this bout by decision or stoppage.

178 - This is a no brainer. Augustama is the real deal and the future. I may even medal at the Olympics representing the Haitian Olympic boxing team.

201 - Koon have improved significant with each bout. I'm going with Koon.

201+ - Hamer will drop the hammer on Cathron.

I was correct w/ Byrd. Lozano lost though. Garza impressed like I expected. Smith surprised me and beat Kielczweski. Caferro didn't quite do it, but it was close. 141 - O'Connor as predicted, but Elegele kept it very close which surprised me. 152- Awesome bout and Martinez just edged Vasquez. 165 - Douglin won like I thought he would. 178 - Augustama is the real deal and won. 201 - I knew it would be close, but Lewis beat Koon. I was surprised to see Koon gas out. 201+ - Hamer as expected, but the California Kid, Cathron, made it a lot closer than I expected. He just needed to be in better condition.
