No way will Witter beat him in the states... I honestly think thats pretty much Witter at his best.

Might be able to work his way back via a rematch with Lynes - but I think Lynes' takes him also now.

I had it close the first time... wasn't Lynes a last minute job also? Lynes' has improved, Witter hasn't.

That would be the avenue back though.

No way he beats Bradley in the states - no chance.

What I was trying to say though was I think this was the same Witter that fought Lynes, Ndou, Kotelnik, Harris, Corely, Moura etc - just the other fighters didn't quite have the style to get the decision.

Yep, I can see that... really cannot understand why the its Lazcano and not Witter on the 24th.

He had no excuses regarding US TV.

And I really think he smashes Witter - always have done since the Ndou fight.

Witter fought badly tonight, but was constantly butted, the ref pulled Bradley on at least 5 occasions that I remember, but no point deduction.
Yet the ref scored the bout to Witter by 3 rounds!!!! WTF

The ref doesn't score in world title bouts, that's only in British Title fights along with two judges.

I do wonder whether this is another occasion where Witter struggled with motivation, and was in against a guy who was young, hungry and fresh enough, and with enough ability to make him pay for his lackadaisical attitude.

We saw a similar thing with Lynes, where Witter simply couldn't get untracked, but Lynes simply lacked the tools to steal the fight.

I think more confidence than tools, which I think he has got now.

On the ref's final warning Bradley stopped using his head like he was previously. If I was the ref I probably would have deducted a point because it was so obvious, but definitely no disqualifiction.

That isn't how it works. It is the referee's discretion as to when a point deduction is made or when a fighter is DQ'd. A single flagrant offence from a fighter can be enough for them to be DQ'd. Do you actually watch boxing?

Fair enough, but how many warnings do you give before deducting a point, I believe it would only be two warnings and when a point is deducted every infringment afterwards is a point deduction or eventually a DQ

Feel gutted as Witter Is one of my favourites and he's been better but damn he got outworked.

Maybe Bradley was right, he focused too much on Hatton which will never happen now.

Witter's been wasted and left out too much.

I think the ppl who ducked Witter and made him go inactive prevented Witter from maintaining sharpness and prevented him from honing his style.

He had a good little run but the reflexes just aren't there anymore. Jr's had some good wins. I feel bad for him - 1st time Showtime bring him back on and this happens.

I felt his reflexes where there, just some lack of workrate or mentality.

He wasn't this bad since Lynes and Kotelnik.

When he fought Corley and Harris he showed his best.

What I was meant was Bradley infringed enough times to warrent a point deduction - but no more than that IMO. He wasn't close to being DQ'd.

Even if you would have given a 5 point deduction - that it would have been a draw on my card.

I agree, just hope that Junior has a rematch clause, which is likely being that it was a mandatory defence.

As you may or may not know a 5 point deduction would not happen as for the same offence a DQ would have already taken place!!

The point was that, you would have noticed if you were actually watching the fight, the referee warned Bradley on 5 occasions that I noticed concerning the same offence... ie HEADBUTTING without giving any official warnings, obviously this goes down in your book as reasonable!!!

No it doesn't go down as reasonable... as I said - Bradley should have been docked 1 point, maybe 2.... no more though - and I am am sure Bradley would have stopped when the point deduction came in... not like he needed to butt him.

I was taking the piss re the 5 point deduction line.
