Did anyone have that fight close??
Split decision? i had Bradley a clear winner.
Can't see how that judge scored it 115-112 to Witter.
Very disapointed in Witter tonight, watched it with a mate who doesn't know much about boxing, and he asked why is Witter waving his glove about, he looks like the karate kid.
Not alot i could say, except i wouldn't teach anyone to do that.
Hats off to Bradley, he came and worked out a plan, and stuck to it.

8 rounds to 4. Not competitive in the slightest. Bradley only dropped rounds when he got a bit complacent after dropping Witter. Aside from that, he won pretty much everything. Witter just had no answers unfortunately.
Glad Bradley got the nod at the end. Was really worried that we were going to screw the poor American Glencoffe Johnson-stylee.

yeah, i'm sure they used to announce split decisions with the winner getting the first score read out.stujones wrote:When the Witter card got announced first - I was shitting myself.Old bones Ian wrote:Yeah i thought of Glencoffe Johnson as well when Lennon said split decision.
Glad the right bloke got it in the end though.
Maybe it was just one of the annoucers that used to do that.
I actually won a bet like that once.

I don't think it was close. Bradley won clearly for me by about 3 rounds and 4 points.
I had to laugh at Duke at the end of the fight. He had Bradley up by 2 points going into the last. Bradley won the 12th fairly comfortably in my book and then he turns around and says he has Bradley by a point. Talk about hedging your bets in the event of a controversial decision.

Yeah.... thought Bradley won the last 3 clear cut.SticknMove wrote:I don't think it was close. Bradley won clearly for me by about 3 rounds and 4 points.

Witter won the first clear and might have fiddled 7, 8, 9 - and thats a might IMO.
Bradley won the rest.
That's how I had it - Witter 7,8,9 & Bradley 10,11,12stujones wrote:Yeah.... thought Bradley won the last 3 clear cut.SticknMove wrote:I don't think it was close. Bradley won clearly for me by about 3 rounds and 4 points.

And to be honest, if you'd have given 7, 8, 9 to Bradley also - I wouldn't have argued.Asterix wrote:That's how I had it - Witter 7,8,9 & Bradley 10,11,12stujones wrote:Yeah.... thought Bradley won the last 3 clear cut.SticknMove wrote:I don't think it was close. I didn't keep keep a running scorecard for this Stu tbh. If I see this fight again in a completely obective mindset I might even have it wider for Bradley. For example I gave Witter the edge in the first 3 rounds, and all square after 7 rounds. Bradley, as you say, winning the last 3 rounds when Witter really needed them.stujones wrote:Yeah.... thought Bradley won the last 3 clear cut.SticknMove wrote:I don't think it was close. Fair enough, Stick and Move. To be honest - I thought I was scoring it as best I could for Witter. I just thought Bradley beat him to the punch time and time again between 2-6, it was effective aggression. Which is what I do like to see in a fight and having the last say in exchanges - hense why I probably score Calzaghe vs Hopkins to BHOP.
Just thought Bradley was in control.... he controled 7,8,9 also - but didn't work hard enough for me.
