i noticed in the beginning there were some teams without jerseys. Is this out of pocket for each fighter?.

I think it's a Regional thing. I know last year our Regional coordinator bought uniforms for all the guys, but not this year.

It has been my understanding that who ever holds the Regional GG is responsible to put the team in uniforms. The same is usually true when it comes to the USA Regionals. It only makes sense that the promoter of that event cover that expense. I have seen when a regional make very little money and uniform money has to come from somewhere else.

Each GG franchise is required to send a team to the nationals and have them outfitted in a team uniform. All 29 teams that were here had team uniforms.

Normally, by the time you get to a national tournament, you have real boxing shoes, trunks and tank tops. You'll see almost anything at a local show.

Not at NGG. They require you to wear your franchise's uniform. Sometimes there are TV contracts or sponsorship contracts that require boxers to wear certain uniforms.
