What ever happend to?

Post by stujones »

Sorry I cannot remember his name, but there was this young amateur (with an excellent record) in the late 90's who kept getting refused a pro-licence because of the fact one of his fingers was missing, or part of his finger.

I believe he may have won an ABA title or something impressive and he kept appealing. Who was this guy? Did he get his pro-licence?

You mean the amateur with the excellent record who won an ABA title but was refused a pro licence due to a defect with one of his fingers? Was around in the late nineties?

Sorry Bennie, the name completely escapes me - it was in the papers and he was planning on suing the BBBoC for being unfair and predujice against him.

If you would have asked me, I was almost certain he was Scottish thats why I wasn't certain what honours he had won. It was quite a story at the time - but thats all I remember of it.
