The Hitter Witter. who thought he won? cus he thought he did
I've only got one word to say and I don't like to be so blunt but what a PRICK, if that's all Witter can offer in such an important contest well there another career finished, and Hatton is suddenly redeamed! If the two met on current form with Hatton 'lunging & holding' & Witter NOT even punching it's no wonder people fell & are falling away from Boxing.
Who are these Champions with their RJJ type style and not even punching...
Cal/Hopkins pure STENCH
Clinton Woods wasn't in the fight & Tarver was NO top fighter either.
DeLaHOYA hang em up please
Jnr Witter goodbye, it's over now
and why should we be 'inflicted' with Promoter driven fights that secure their over-the-hill mediocre champions and deny/deprive new, younger and better fighters their 'right' to fight??? Is there No Boxing Board, Commision or sanctioning body that TELLS them who they ARE fighting to keep the right order of contenders to eliminations to championship contests going.
Boxing is not only efen Rubbish it's down right Shamefully embarrising.

When you say lack of class, do you mean Ingle?Manc_Red wrote:You look at Ingle when the cards were being finalised - He knew Witter was beaten fair & square, Bradley done more than enough to win that fight.
Class & lack of it was so evident.
I made up my mind about ingle a while back....I think it ws when the ironically named Johnny 'The Entertainer' Nelson fought Guillermo Jones.
Nelson was Lucky, Jones at the least deserved some respoect but Ingle wasn't giving him any of it. He was just shooting his mouth of.
My memory is not so good, so I may have made that story up, but that's how I remember it.

Hatton got bounced into a corner post by the best fighter in the world, at welterweight, in Vegas in the biggest fight of his career, with a ref that did him no favours.Max Molyneux wrote:Least he never got bounced Into a corner post.Ant Evans wrote:The guy got exposed. The word exposed gets used In the wrong times. This was the same Witter who turned up for Kotelnik but didn't get away with It this time.
Witter got beaten by a contender in his own back yard with his own promoter pulling all the strings.
End of.
Ricky did lose his last fight also... albeit at Welterweight, so IMO there is a question on whether Ricky should be considered a current champion at Light Welter...even though he is the #1.Ant Evans wrote:It was a wonderful lesson in proper boxing, not that crap Witter was been doing these last 10 years.
Enzo, Rees, Witter - the frauds are getting found out. I remember David Haye getting asked how it felt to be one of "UK's 7 world champs" and Haye being rightly miffed.
No, as David said at time: he, Joe and Hatton are real world champions and the rest of em are just contenders who happen to have some trinkets. And, now, 3 of em don't have those trinkets no more.

I think that's exactly the point though... that being a current belt holder doesn't make you a 'world champion' in anything other than a dodgy sanctioning body's name. Being recognised as #1 at the weight makes you the champ, hence Haye's assertion that only he, JC and Hatton are real champs.

witter didn't disgrace himself on saturday night.
it was a competitive fight.
witter's head in the air style just came back to bite him in the arse against a quick boxer like bradley.

He won it in a German sense. Y'know, loses most rounds and still gets the decision.
Funny how it happens all the time around europe. Thats why witters probably pissed.
I just wish the decisions in boxing were all consistent.
Sadly, though we have 5 different governing bodies, and a million so-called.
thats why inconsistentcy will alwayd reign in boxing.
As for the lay man, we know bradley won. But sadly theres no Lay-man world title.

Well, there kind of is, but neither of these two will ever be fighting for it...

What I meant though is should Ricky be stripped of his "champion" status at 140 becuase he didn't have his last fight there? Should the champion status at 140 be declared vacant... maybe untill Hatton vs Malignaggi?sharpei_louis wrote:stujones wrote:Ricky did lose his last fight also... albeit at Welterweight, so IMO there is a question on whether Ricky should be considered a current champion at Light Welter...even though he is the #1.Ant Evans wrote:It was a wonderful lesson in proper boxing, not that crap Witter was been doing these last 10 years.

Doesn't matter If It was Floyd he lost to, like I say, It's how he lost. He was beaten like Gatti but just lasted longer. Witter just turned up unmotivated and didn't get away with It this time.
Why say end of, If you going to reply to someone? Surely you expect someone to reply back.
Why was he miffed? He's an undisputed champ and It Is a shame to discredit all the others because one had a harder route, while he's had it easy as a playboy and relying on his right hand.Enzo, Rees, Witter - the frauds are getting found out. Plus he and us fans wanted him to fight one of those so called frauds too and now he wants us to now discredit him.

All we heard post-fight was how Enzo is a clean living family man who was beaten by a playboy. Hate has not played at anything. He took all the risks whilst Enzo was playing champion with the likes of Gunn and Mormeck retreads.
We have a filter for offensive language, can't we have a Max-filter for repetitive and nonsensical statements. Such as:
'Joe is going to rape X'
'If Enzo had survived the KO he would have won on points'
et cetera.
For shame.
Are you out of your fcuking mind.... Mayweather was tee'ing off on Gatti all night, it was a massacre from start to end. To suggest Hatton took a similar beating is just ludicrous.Max Molyneux wrote:

Nah, maybe five years ago but not anymore. Besides which, a loss for Hattom wouldn't be nearly the problem that it was for Witter.WildWaylon wrote:I think thats a good post. Witter has been far more humble for a while now and I was impressed that he did the interview. You are right he was looking past Bradley and couldnt see how he could lose. Is Hatton doing that with Lazcano, we could have another upset.Priff wrote:I think there's a big difference between "I though I won it" and "I was robbed!". I was at no point was I convinced he actually believed he was truly hard done by. It was a difficult interview for witter as his personality is based on his confidence/arrogance which were silenced.
Swimming through his head the whole time must have been the realisation that he made the mistake of looking past his opponent and that the next few years of his life are not going to turn out like he had envisged just hours ago.
He knew he was not able to execute. (He's done it a few times and got away with it) and will blame himself.
I've just never warmed to Witter in any way, but I actully thought he did alright in the interview.

I understand all the points you make, Ant, but I think you are over the top in calling him a fraud. Then again, he certainly looked like one on Saturday - but you have to remember he's beaten some good men in the past.Ant Evans wrote:It was a wonderful lesson in proper boxing, not that crap Witter was been doing these last 10 years.

As I've said on another post, if he had enough money to retire, I'd be urging him to. He looked really terrible.
Putting Witter in the same bracket as Enzo and Rees is stretching it a bit for me.

Check my facts, I've seen both fights, only difference Is Hatton wasn't Insane enough to box Floyd like Gatti but they both got a beating either way.ALI wrote:Are you out of your fcuking mind.... Hatton totally had no game plan going Into that fight and he deserved to lose, do they even have strategies? All they did was show off the body bag and pads, then take the piss out of Floyd's padwork and pretend they watched him for years.
At Gatti tried to use a jab, something Hatton should of used with his pressure.
Why tell me to check my facts? Are you like many of the blinkered Hatton fans who think he's still a champ even when he lost and gave up his titles? And I have seen both Floyd vs Gatti and Hatton.

Not comparing the opponents In terms of who's better, just comparing how both lost. Hatton's finally got told not to foul and excessively hold which was good, but Joe should of told Floyd off about the elbow though still.Captain Hook wrote:Amen to that, to even compare Bradley and Mayweather is ludicrous.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Hatton got bounced into a corner post by the best fighter in the world, at welterweight, in Vegas in the biggest fight of his career, with a ref that did him no favours.Max Molyneux wrote: Least he never got bounced Into a corner post.
